Putting my beloved Twinkie up for sale. It's a 2005 Mitsubishi Minicab Van. I've owned it for 4 years, and before that it was a "Geek Squad" type vehicle in Japan. It's as good as new, in perfect shape, with absolutely no rust anywhere (I was always very careful to stay off the salted roads in winter). Specs: Power Steering, Dual Air Bags, CD Radio w/Ipod connection, Cold AC, Automatic Transmission, 31,000km (around 19,000 miles), Push Button On-The-Fly Four Wheel Drive. Custom Mitsubishi Front Floor Mats. All stock except for a Katz oil pan heater, and I have a hose running the engine air intake to the front bumper to keep the filter from getting dusty. I've got 2 sets of wheels...the stock 12" pictured with brand new Hankook snow tires, and some 13" Honda Civic wheels with new Pirelli rubber for summer. The battery is 2 years old, Die Hard. Always used Mobil 1 oil. Flushed the coolant when I bought it. Has seating for 5, and the rear bench folds flat into the floor, to make a huge enclosed cargo area. The 3 speed auto tranny pushes up to 70mph +, but it's most comfy right around 45-55mph. Located in Mid Michigan. Willing to deliver anywhere in the US after the Holidays, for a fee. Asking $10,500, with some flexibility. Makes a Great Gift....Think of that stuffed in a stocking! For any pictures or more info write me at andy_george@yahoo.com or call 517-851-2466.
Ha...ya it's true I guess. I've been too busy to keep a close eye on the forum here, feel like I've been ignoring a close family member! When I bought Twinkie it was just me and the Wife....now we have 2 little girls, and of course my wife thinks we have to sell our house and move into the closest castle we can find Knowing the distance to work will be much further than 2 miles, and I can use some extra cash, I thought I'd sell my favorite-est little toy...sniff, sniff.... I don't *have* to sell her, but if I could find a good buyer who is willing to send me monthly pictures I might just do it. -Andy
Haha, it's funny you ask. If I sell Twinkie I plan on replacing it with an older xB. The Minicab is about 18 inches shorter than the xB, but it has a lot more interior room due to the lack of a long hood. It's probably a bit narrower, but it's taller, and has 3+ feet of room behind the rear bench, where in pictures it looks like the xB has a little over a foot if I had to guess. Also, the Minicab weighs right around 1800lbs, and the xB is 2,400. I'm attracted to the xB because it's short enough to fit in my garage, carries a lot for it's size, and is road legal in Michigan. But it sucks because Twinkie is better at carrying loads, has 4-wheel drive, is cuter, and gets better mileage.:frustration: -Andy
I must sell my van! As rare and perfect as it is, I can't believe I haven't had people knocking down my door. I guess that's why I'm not a used car salesman! Anyone interested, please make a reasonable offer! -Andy
Twinkie is sold! Bittersweet, yes, but I feel it's getting shipped to a good new owner. Thanks to this site, I was able to buy, maintain, and sell the coolest little vehicle I will ever own. Sniff, sniff.... -Andy
Andy ... once in the KEI group, you can not just leave Kidding kidding ... maybe you'll jump back in with this crowd down the road. I'm actually considering selling mine too
