Hi all - Needing some help/advise on my van. The Alternator belt came off after it got jammed, I got it unstuck but needing to put it back on the alternator.

I've tried loosening some bolts on the alternator but still having difficulty and unable to get the belt on. There isn't much video/guidance online and so I thought I would post here. Thank you!

What motor do you have, 4A30? Can you post a picture of alternator setup?

The Alternator belt came off after it got jammed
    - How did this happen? What do you mean it got jammed, more details please

I got it unstuck but needing to put it back on the alternator.
    - Of course you wouldn't use the same belt that has skipped off / jammed up. Remove it and replace it with new

I've tried loosening some bolts on the alternator but still having difficulty and unable to get the belt on
    - You probably have either
    A) A bolt/nut is still tight that you aren't seeing , I think there are 3 nuts or
    B) need to put a pry bar carefully in there and try to break it loose, alternator could be sort of corroded in place but should break loose without too much effort

** Pretty sure you have the same motor as me so if you cant get it figured out I can check it out later for you...Pretty sure I did the same thing when I first got it and then noticed another bolt..Possible even with a different size head but I could be confusing things....

Agree with Mike, if you can post engine, maybe can go take some pictures, had to do it a couple times before also.
PS, have you checked the almighty book for your engine?
