I’ll try to cover the basics, 1995 Honda acty 5sp, a/c …sdx I believe.. stickers were painted over…full time 4x4 model …..not sure what I missed…. Anyway… having A/c issues…. It would work for 10-15 minutes then barely …. So I had an extra fan motor laying around, slapped it in and it worked about the same just more volume of air. Cleaned the coils under the driver seat, washed it out and juiced it up with more Freon …. Still the same thing…. All the controls on the dash work, high idle works when swapped on,compressor kicks on and off normally , rear condensing fan works, rear coils clean and clear…. Thought it may not be getting enough air flow where Guam is always hot so I had an extra engine cover and swiss cheesed it with same issue…..sight glass is showing coolant moving…. Wondering if this is an indication of clogged or stuck expansion valve?? Ideas?? TIA! -matt
Get some pressure gauges on it and see if one side is too high or low. Pressure issues can indicate low charge or blocked flow.
