    The Toyota Townace
    The Toyota TownAce was introduced by Toyota in Japan in April 1983 as a short wheelbase mid-engined luxury 7/8 seat MPV resembling their Space Cruiser. A 4WD version (body type CR30) was introduced in December 1985. These were produced until a facelift in September 1993 to body type CR31 which ran until October 1996. It was available with either automatic transmission or manual transmission and petrol or diesel engine.

    hmm. wonder how the "hood" opens on the trucks with the center console. On mine the whole passenger and middle seat folds up but this one obviously has the shifters there lol

    its still a little big.. but it is by far the best looking mini truck..
    Is it still classified as a kei truck?

    fupa's right. has too large of an engine (1974cc diesel) and my truck is actually a truck version of the toyota van. like the space shuttles from the 80's lol

    Although that one is rated for 750KG, most I have seen are rated for 1 metric ton payload!

    They have 2 ton and bigger trucks about the same size as a compact 1/4 ton. We had a Mazda Titan - 2.5l diesel - 30+MPG, 10 ft bed. It was almost the same length and width as a ranger extended cab. 2 metric tons. 4400lb payload cap in the bed.

    my liteace is the same thing as the toyota van from the 80's only RHD and a truck and DIESEL Lol
