Hi all, we have been having some -30 temperatures and the other morning I started er up and in about 5 minutes I was up to normal operatin temperature(definatly wouldn't warm up that fast normally). No hot air blowing from any vents. I took er around the block and the temp gauge maxed right out but still no heat. Called my dealer and they figure its an airlock, I found 2 bleed screws on the block. They said there is 2 upfront near the heater core. Does anybody know where to locate these? Any input is appreciated. -Russell
Yeah I've read that, I think those are the screws I found, I'm going to go try shortly and see what happens
On my 1998 ACTY there are two bleeder screws on the steel tubes that run along the left underside of the truck. they are on the top of the tubes and hard to see. They are often rusted up pretty good so be careful not to put too much force on them. There're packing washers that seal the screws that are supposed to be replaced when you bleed the system.
Well I have tried all the screws, 3 out of 4 are sprayin coolant good but the one on drivers side of the engine won't fully bleed, guess I'm gonna have to pull the heater core and see if its plugged up
