Wife is considering buying a 1987 Sambar. I can see there is plenty of information regarding the newer models but the two cylinder models not so much. My main concern is parts availability, even consumables.

Are parts available or should I push her to a newer 4 cylinder model. Just going to use the truck for trips to the store and dump runs.

    thanks.

Finding parts for a 550cc era Sambar (pre 1990) will be difficult. Basic things like plugs and filters should be okay, but any repair parts will be few and far between.

The benefit of the 1990+ vehicles is that many things cross over from 1990 all of the way until 2012, so parts have been manufactured much more recently.

Thanks for the reply. She ended up with a 91 sambar. Now the fun begins.
