Hi all, I’m from the UK and want to replace my front springs.

I’ve seen I can import them from America but want to avoid high postage / import fees etc.

The ones I’ve found in blighty are from Faulkner Springs and they are 10.5" long, 2.5" ID and any spring rate I choose (225lb, 250lb, 275lb).

Does anyone think that extra half inch on the length is a definite no-no? Or would I get away with it?

Also, what rate does everyone recommend... mostly it’ll be just me in the cab and I weight around 200lb.

    Any advice is massively appreciated.

    Cheers!
    Rob

I just went through that with mine. If you increase the spring rate much (you should) you'll have a good bit of trouble compressing the spring for reassembly. But you could cut the spring with a disc grinder. By all means replace the bumpstops while you're in there.

Eibach ought to be readily available on your side of the pond. They build a 65mm i.d. spring that will work but will be close on the bumpstop.
