Yesterday I received an EM from Kotaro Ogita of Japanese TV program production company, Creative Nexus Co.,Ltd.

He says "I am currently in charge of “Tokoro-san! Taihendesuyo” broadcasted by NHK(Japan Broadcasting Corporation)." and states he is interested in interviewing Owners of US Owned Mini's.

    Anyone else receive the same?

Ronin lives in Japan. If he sees this he may chime in. I never heard about but I live in the Philippines.

    Hello from Tokyo in Japan.

Thank you very much for your reply.
I have just send email to you several minutes ago.
I am looking forward to your reply again.
And, yes I have send messages to 6 owners including you RanchHQ.

It would be wonderful if they reply to me.

And, if anyone know very interesting owners in USA, please let me know!

Kotaro Ogita, Don't know if your post is directed to me, but I have not received a mail from you. Know that I live in Republic of Philippines.

    Dear Fred

I am going to the United States of America at the end of this month.
That is why I am looking for Japanese Mini Truck owners in USA.

    ようこそOgitaさん。:)

This NHK program is always quite good to watch... deals with "unusual" and interesting phenomenon or strange happenings, oddities and local mysteries and the like. Would be great fun to be a part of, I highly recommend if any of you have some time to share it would be well worthwhile.

In Japanese the show is known as 所さん!大変ですよ. If you copy and paste that Japanese text into Youtube you can see what the show is like.

In the states these Kei vehicles are kind of a rarity. Here in the Phils it is like japan, everybody and their uncle owns either a pickup type or van type of Kei of all different makes.

I am well off the beaten path in the Phils but there is a rather large group (more or less a club) in Manila that seems to have quite a number of members. They have a group or whatever you call it on facebook. You might communicate with them. Just blew my chance to be "rich & famous" Oh well I did not need to be spotlighted anyway. LOL

Was the show ever taped/aired? Did anyone participate, or is it available to see somewhere?

It aired a few weeks ago. A buddy of mine live streamed it on facebook. It was pretty cool. I had a couple minute segment and there was another guy in Texas they filmed. Then they went to a importer that had probably... 100 trucks in stock.
