They frequently show up new/rebuilt on ebay for $160 to $175 including shipping. Same vendors are listing the rebuild kit for $110. Time you buy the car cleaner and invest a couple of hours, the carb makes more sense.

If you get one please let me know how big the throttle plate is.

I'm having trouble with mine, and am thinking of changing over to a throttle body injection system. Need to know the throttle size to get an appropriate throttle body, but don't want to take mine off the road to take the carb on and off until I'm ready for the install.

    Kind of a thread Hijack.

J&F, Just a question. How are you thinking of going about switching to TBI? I have been giving some thought to this and trying to find out as much info as possible. I have a 2002 and it has EFI on it. I have been thinking about the possibility of using the Ecotron 400-800 cc unit as a replacement when & if I have problems with mine. Any info you may share would be much appreciated as so far the Ecotron Unit seems to be about the only viable alternative that I may have in the situation here. As I have mentioned in some other posts I have quite a hard time to get any cooperation from any of the local parts houses where I am located at here in Iloilo,Philippines.

Good morning Guys , Jigs I did bought the kit for my model, and clean everything on the carburetor, stir have
adjust it, but also found another issue when I replaced the spark plugs, one of them have a questionable threads , that's is beside I believe some of the valves are stuck due the time it was park before I bough the truck, I am in the process to pull the valves head off to make sure all valves are sealing properly, the only problem I have right now is I don't know the torque of the head... if anyone can help me with those numbers I surely will appreciate...
