For those of us who live in the States, or other places where the Carry was never officially imported, I think a reference showing compatible parts from vehicles that WERE imported here would be a great help. For instance, I recently needed a right front brake hose for my DB41 Carry. I found that a hose from a Samurai would not fit, but one from a '89 Sidekick fit perfectly. Same with lights -- the front parking/turn on my truck can be replace by Samurai units, but I haven't yet found a match for the back ones. Perhaps a "sticky" could be started, and folks could add to it as matches are found -- just a suggestion! Tom
i posted this in tips and tricks but it might serve better here, i also would like to know all available swaps or inner changes, it takes several hours of reading pages and pages of useless stuff to find a simple answer sometimes 1989 DD51T alternator $100 new. Nissan 400-48026 is a direct fit just splice wires and on your way way cheaper takes a total of 5 minutes
Here is one for everyone needing carb vaccum line help. SOurce your 3mm silicone vacuum lines in various colors as to not confuse your routes etc. THis 3mm line outlasts any standard vac line from the parts store and is the exact fit so that you do not have a leak on those smaller nipple or where the is a sharp bend. Not sure if this will help you guys in the states maybe you can find a crossover for the number. The Oil Filter for the K6A engine uses a VIC brand name with the number of C-110 here in the Philippines. Fred
