has anyone tried to find replacement struts from other vehicles that are 2/3" taller instead of putting the lift spacers on? seems there must be some out there, maybe have to drill new top holes to mount them but seems like that would be the best way. if so please let me know part number or vehicle fitment
Just food for thought as to your query. The VW SuperBeetle and the Rabbit models used basically the same setup. You might do some hunting in a junkyard to see what might do. As I remember the Rabbit struts had a special bolt so the camber could be adjusted which would be a great help if changing ride height. Don't remember if the Super had this option or not. You might take a look at most any later smaller vehicles as most went to the MacPherson Strut front suspension. Fred
