  1. My HiJet will be turning 59,000 soon and I would really like to understand/comply with the following:

    What's it all mean?

    Thanks!

    Changed at 59000, next due at 66000 is what I think

  4. That is what is odd.

    It hasn't hit 59,000 yet (I got it at 56,xxx k) and I wasn't sure why there would be 2 sets of distance on it.

    Also, I believe the dealer I bought it from changed the oil on receipt (at 55/56 k) so... I'm tracking when shouldbbebthe best time to go ahead and use this spare new filter that came with it...

    Strange Google image search comes up with it as a oil change sticker

  6. I'm sure you are correct. But I wonder why 2 distance readings?

    Is 6,000k the appropriate distance between oil changes?

    It is an oil change sticker, says next change due @59k km, next filter due @66k km.

    Reason for the discrepancy: Lots of places here only do the filter every other oil change; sometimes that's what the manual calls for, other times just economy.

    Katakana translation for further reference:

    エンジンオイル=engine oil
    オイルエレメント=oil element (filter)

  8. Thank you very much.

    Side question: I want to get some die-cut letters for my HiJet to put on the tinted sun shade/eyebrow on the windscreen.

    I would like it to say "Tiny Technical" (or (in the sense that Toyota HiLux trucks are called "technicals" in the Middle East) or "Goro's Tiny Technical" in Idiomatic Japanese Katakana. Google translate is not Idiomatic enough. I want the translation to be "real" not "direct".

    I sincerely appreciate the help.

    (Yes, "Goro". One of my favorite films is Tampopo...)

    Can you post a pic of something in the 'flavor' of what you're after?

    Only "Tiny Technical" or "Goro's Tiny Technical" in grammatically correct Kanji.

    Hiragana or Katakana... Doesn't really matter...

    I just refuse to put ungrammatical &/or stupid combinations of characters on my truck (unlike so many people wanting "Oriental" tattoos...)
