Have a 98 Suzuki dd51t. Having a problem with carb/ distributor. If you smash the gas down it bogs down almost kills it. If you smash the gas down then let off it clears up. Thanks

Most of the guys here start with a good dose of seafoam and go from there. If the truck has been sitting this and just using it will help.Check all the vacuum lines as well, there is about 10 miles of them and they will cause lots of problems if leaking.

Could it be that I've cross over the vacuum lines?

That's always a possibility and there are several different tube routings depending on equipment.A good place to look is a thread titled "desperately need tuning help" in this section,it's long but there's a lot of information on the different set ups.

  6. This might be a long shot but on a lot of the DD series of Suzuki's there is a vacuum line that goes into the air box that seems to want to slip off a lot, if it did it can really affect the performance of the truck. It could also be that your carb may need to be rebuilt as it sounds like mechanical choke might not be closing as the coolant heats up....but these are both just guesses

THIS^^^^^^ Was My issue to start with. I replaced everyone of my vacuum lines the first month I owned it and it has been a blessing!

I think I'd cross the choke vacuum line with the distributor line. Correct them drove bout 2 mile flawless. Changed spark plugs as well and order a carb rebuild kit. And distributor cab and roto. Thanks all for advice.
