Air horns ? Thats way cool ! I just got my van about a week ago , I have learned so much about these little balls of fire. I love mine. I plan on putting 24x8x12 interco swamp lite s, on a set of hd 4/115mm wheels 4+3 offset,http://www.tirewiz.com/store/pc/4-1...-set-of-4-wheels-16-12x1-50-lugs-160p1032.htm. i have had to replace mini bulbs in the a/c switch and the rear defroster switchs. added a 4 inch lift from G&R IMPORTS " these guys are awsome" I changed the rear shocks to a new pair of monroe #31000 . the factory shocks were topping out on travel . the monroes took care of the extra travel. was amazed they bolt right up on my mitsu with NO mods. I would love some feed back on the direction im goin with this van . IM gettin ready for trucksgonewild.com at Bricksoffroad.com in poplar bluff, mo june 6th 2013.

Well today I pulled my carry over to the edge of our hill, turned up the radio and kicked back in the nice cozy bench seat I mounted. Until the sun warmed me up enough. Then I grabbed my toys and threw hot lead down range till the neighbors called from 2 miles away and asked me to turn down the music...........got to love alaska!!

Only thing wrong with Alaska is the weather.I love everything else about it. Are you still able to buy ammo?We can't get anything here, especially .22.Last time I went to Wally world they had 2 boxes of 410 shells and the lady just rolled her eyes when I asked for.22

We get ammo twice a week at most places. Cant hardly find 22 here either. Its just cause everyone is hording and the fact that the government keeps ordering enough ammo to support an all out war. I reload. It helps but not when ya cant find powder or primers. As for the weather up here...... you can always put more clothes on when its a bit chilly. You can only take off so much before someone calls the police when it gets hot hahaha. Actually you get used to the colder temps faster than trying to deal with the heat.

I did get two of my rims. So i mounted 2 tires on them and put em on the back of my carry. Its now 9 inches wider than it was hahaha

Be careful mixing tire sizes. When I got my Scrum it had a couple of odd ball tires on it and didn't do well in 4 wd made weird noises and felt like something was binding up,new set of matched tires and fine since.

Oh i hear ya there. I actually measured the height of the tires and added air to the new ones and removed air from the old to make sure they were the same. Just because they say they are 23" doesnt mean they really are. The new 23's are actually 21 tall amd the old 23's wer almost 25........go figgure huh hahaha ive broken a few mud trucks mixing tires didnt want to do that to this. I think its cheaper to replace a dana 60 front end than the front pumpkin in the mini truck. Oh and just to make sure all was good i knocked a knukle off and bled all over the studs on 3 tires......i think she will hold now hahaha

I had my truck frame, diff and springs sandblasted and painted with a rust proofing 2 part coating.

    Damn salt on the roads

Borrowed some Nissan rims with tires that barely fit in my Acty's cozy wheel wells.

175/70/R13, my neighbor uses these on his Sambar, I have 155/80/R13s on the way to mount on the truck, give my coils in the front some extra space.

Surprisingly, with less than 1/4" clearance, they don't appear to be rubbing, even did some lock-lock turns in the parking lot there, no rub :)

This wasn't today........but I'm still proud and think it worth bragging about!!! Hahaha a Chevy Yukon was buried to its frame in mud so I offered to pull him out with my mini truck. After he got done laughing he decided he couldn't be any worse off so I hooked on to him and pulled him about 50 yards belly dragging the whole way. I gained a whole new respect for these little trucks and made a couple new believers!! The owner of the Yukon is now looking for a mini truck of his own hahaha here is the link to the video.......

I discovered a new use for my mini truck last night....... While at our favorite fishing hole on the kenai river a brown bear decided my son and his friend were no linger allowed to fish there..... She chased them to me where i promptly informed all the other fishermen and we all piled in the mini truck and did our best evade and escape hahahaha she was like peppy la pew..... No matter how fast we went down the trail she just mozied along and seemed to catch up to us at every turn hahaha. At least 4 tourists have a great story to tell when they get home...... Didnt habe time for pics sorry hahaha

    New wheels,tires,and coil springs

Well it was time to pet my little work horse Scrum so I found some Nissan 4x100 13" wheels and mounted them up with 175x70R13's and just to make them comfortable I added some AFCO 250 lb coils to the front.Wish I had done the springs a long time ago.I was afraid they would raise it too much and ride too stiff but I was wrong. It raised the front about 2" which leveled it out and it rides much smoother. I put a new idle-up actuator on my carb so now it works properly and doesn't race the engine. I'm waiting for a set of bushings for the front differential mounts. Once I've got it running properly I'll have to decide whether to start using it again or just put it on Kijiji.

  17. Got an extra leaf installed in the rear... what a difference! The old springs were getting tired... might be able to haul some stuff in the trail without riding on the bumpstops...lol

Went to get a spare key made for the mini-mog. My 94 carry........all the suzuki keys they had and not one was close. So I talked them into letting me look threw their pile.........discovered that key number 52, a Chrysler key I believe, was the same design. A a good amount longer but after cut works perfectly in all key holes in the truck. Just thought I would share that for anyone looking for a key. Doesnt have a symbol on it. Just blank.

^^ nice, I'm going to check that out.
I did actually lock the keys in the truck about a year ago. Had the windows open about 2" though, just above the rain deflector bottom. Well, turns out that you can pull the deflector out of the way without breaking it. Then jambed my arm in there just enough to pull the lock with my leatherman, which was all I had at the time. (2am and house key on the ring)
I really need a spare to hide on the engine mount, or whatever...:p

Anyway, a quick reference for the guys.
I finally finished my long term gremlin electrical problems; after pretty much eliminating everything in the system. AND everything that was eliminated had a "little something" to do with the problems. The last, was the original battery. One cell shorted. Not a big glaring deal, (voltage reader close to alt, but main system feeds connected AT bat pol/ reads high volt, but systems actually getting low volt, due to shorted cell voltage drop :frustration: ) but enough to ADD to the problems. I replaced the battery with a Canadian Tire "Lawn and Garden" off the shelf solution. Fit the box and space just fine. The poles were in the right spots. (pos on the left & both at the back) BUT, no "mini-posts". It had the "bolt on" type connectors. Well, it turned out better than OEM. All I did was to take the original bolts out of the round connectors and then open the original connectors (by hand) about an inch. This left plenty of room to consider, and use, them just as if they where now of the "flat spade" type of connector. I WAS going to cut-off, the extra curved portion of the original connectors, but turns out to be a bonus application. That extra bit now works perfectly as "grappling" points for jumper cables. Which I use often, for charging the power pack on the run, or running the portable winch, or whatever. They just fit perfect.
235 CCA, which is way more than enough, 35min "deep-cell" capacity, AND I walked out of there with a warranty, AND, change from three, 20 dollar bills...
Conversion, and installation, in the parking lot, in 5 minutes...
Part number is in the second pic.

Nice..you got a good deal on it..they're over $70 at the Can. tire near me..I'm using the same type battery, except a walmart one..was on sale a while ago for $40 300cca and same bolt on terminals. I had the same battery in my Miata for 8 years and it never had a problem..figured if it can start and run everything on a 1600cc Miata, a 660cc mini truck is no problem

ha ha, I did the same except I didn't bend out the original tabs. Just bolted them on the same as spaner. Work well for booster cables etc just the way they are.

Very Nice. My battery is in the bed. Mounted in a marine battery box. Original spot allowed the battery to be submerged too often. Mine is a 800cca interstate. runs the winch great. No electrical issues and my head lights are bright as the sun Hahaha...... Did I mention I converted the headlights to hid.....

I gave my girl a new name. I think it fits.
Three days until we take her hunting.

Best comment from last year.......A fellow in an F150 stopped us on the road and before saying hello....said...."Tell me how much fun that is"
    Gotta love mini trucks!

Decided to see how much I could pull the last few days. I have a trailer that has a 9x5 deck and 4 foot tall sides. 10,000 pound axle with 7 leafs in the spring packs. I've had 7500 pounds in the trailer and never bottomed her out. Weighed on the scale at our local dump. I filled the trailer with wet mud/dirt, by hand cause we don't own anything more than a couple shovels Hahaha. Bottomed out the axle on the frame of the trailer. Trailer sank about 4 inches into the ground Hahaha. I put my mini-mog in 4 low, first gear. Amazingly she hardly spin a tire and started rolling!! I figure their had to have been at least 10k in the trailer, tires rubbing on the fenders and all and still plowed her way threw 6 inches of muck!! Very impressed

Changed to 16" rims and tires

These are 14 ply bias tires good for 3200lbs each.
I imported them along with the new wheels. And the're DOT aproved too.

I was just not impressed with the ply ratings of local tires so I decided to go up to 16 from 15 inch and get the highest ply rating possible.

Drives even more like a tank now.

No pics but I did clean out the leftover wet mud/gravel that was in the bed from some recent trail work. Figured I'd take advantage of a relatively warm (above freezing) day before the whole mess froze for the winter. Now to change the oil, finish the 1" spacers for the front and get the plow mounted. And keep my fingers crossed that we don't get any snow this week.
