I have an 89 ninety that so. Some befor me converted to propane. I have never had a propane anything before aside from a grill. The thing right side like Crap right now. It's hard to start and if you do get it started the valve things freezes up almost instantly. Once the truck warms up it does better.... But still runs rough. I have worked on gasoline engines a lot and can read the plugs...but what about propane run ones? The previous idiot also cut and plugged a lot of lines so a vacume diagram would be nice also. I also would appreciate some help with knowing where adjustments are for the propane carb. Right now it's driving me crazy and any help would be great.

Thanks for the interest but I figured out the problems. First he had the propane tank upside down so it sucked in liquid. Second he didn't bother to ground the ignition system (cap or coil). Now I'm just waiting for my wheels and tires to show up. Then it's winch time and bumpers and mount my plow.

    Chuddly,

Some propane regulators require liquid into them, others take vapor. The one i am using for instance on my propane setup requires liquid into the regulator. All the regulators i looked at require the coolant to be circulated through them to keep them from freezing. But i imagine if the flow rate is slow enough, you could disapate the heat from the tank itself by providing vapor into the regulator instead of liquid. If you have your's working now i would love to see some pictures if you dont mind. I have converted my Suzuki Carry to propane and i would love to see how other people have put their's together.

If your still having trouble take a look at this thread. Maybe it will help, maybe not. Its what i did to my truck.

I have people ask this all the time and i have to say the same thing. Its impossible for me to guess. I dont just drive it on the road. I may have 1000lbs of wood on it going down the road all out and then ill have it dead empty going through the woods. It all depends on how you drive and what you are doing with the truck. I look at these things very differently than most people. They are a TOOL.....nothing more. Its like looking at a hammer and asking the sales man "how many swings does it take to drive that nail?". He will answer you "depends on how big the nail is and how hard you swing". I got the mini truck because it would work....i didnt get it for fuel mileage
