Opening the hood

    Ok this might seem stupid....but how do I get the hood open? Is there anything under there that I need to know about??

    What exactly are you trying to open? The panel on the front of the truck? If so your radiator is behind there

    The panel below the windshield on the outside.

    Yea mine has the radiator behind there and headlight adjustments. Mine is screwed on but I'm pretty sure that's not how it's suppose to be I think it may have clips on it you just pop in and out

    They should have clips mine is a 98 and its just clips I use a screw driver very easy cuz you don't want to snap the plastic clips. And yea just head light adjustment and the radiator here

    Reads like he's talking about the "new body style" which I thought started in 99.
    If the 98 was near the end?

    I'm not familiar with it but Terry knows this body style.

    I can say for sure that nobody knows the proper way to pull the front cover on the pre 99. By removing the two black knobs from inside the cab first, then yank it off the front. Mine came with the knobs in the glove compartment, and seems to be the norm.
    I had to make some new end mounts for mine.

    Oh well mine just pops off and I'm guessing his is a 98 that's what it said in his sig.

    Mine is under the passenger seat
