I have a 2000 Honda ACTY and up until 2 weeks ago it ran like a top. It refuses to run more than a fast idle when it is cold, also it runs up through the gears just fine but loses power the farther you push the throttle. I topped off the fuel tank today and it ran fine around town, but it did the same power loss on the highway. The engine seems to be missing on one cylinder but seems to drop the same rpm when I pull the coil or the injector wires individually. I put new sparkplugs in and looked high and low for a fuel filter and couldn't find one, I think it must be in the gas tank. I also pulled the sensors and they seem to have the correct response. Without a manual it is mostly guess work. If anyone has any ideas, I'm definitlely up for trying anything.
    Thanks

It should look like that, but I can't find any external filter in the whole exposed fuel system. I'am inclined to think the filter is inside the fuel tank, but I hate to drop the tank and disturb the lines if it isn't in there. I can't believe I'm the only one who owns this kind of truck. I hope that someone knows where I can get a service manual for this truck, it has to be for the 2000 acty.
    Thanks

The fuel filter can only be approached from underneath the vehicle. On mine it is almost against the underside of the truck bed. It is very, very difficult to get at, I could reach it but could not get it out. Had to take it to a mechanic who could put it up on the hoist and had some tools to reach it.

in a situation like that best to take that filter out and put an in-line near the carb in easy to reach areas!

Have you taken a peek at your air filter? When mine starts to clog up, the truck runs pretty much exactly as you describe.

Good suggestion. Next time the filter is due to be changed I'll try that. Thanks.

I finally found the problem and took care of it. The problem got to the point that the truck would slow down to walking speed with the pedal to the floor. I bought a new coil and installed it in each cylinder and it still missed. I finally removed the injector manifold to drill a hole for pressure check, and some red stuff came out. I pulled the injectors and found they were full of rust. I cleaned the injectors and manifold and put it back together, and what do you know, it ran correctly. For those that don't know, the HA7 has a fuel filter in the tank on the pump only except for mine, which has a inline filter at the manifold inlet. Just thought I would let you guys know the results of this hair pulling problems resolution, and thanks for the feedback.
    Thanks all
