My acty mini truck is leaking oil through my air filter. If it was a little bit i would not be so concerned but i am losing about a liter a week. What would cause this and how do i fix it. Any help would be great. Thanks
i assume this is from some sort of blowby. thinking maybe a pcv valve or vacuum issue? I assume its smoking too. maybe some other members with more experience can help.
If air filter is really clogged up it will sometimes draw oil up from crank case. Check air filter. Might have over filled the crank case with oil? That will do it everytime. Rings could be worn. Do a compression check. (Daihatsu's 165psi on the low side and 200psi on the high side) I would think A Honda would be in that area as well.
Have you resolved your problem yet? My 1992 Acty is doing the exact same thing as yours and I need to figure out what's causing it.
check on the carb these 2 air solenoid valves. They get stuck, then you also have not full power as the fuel air ratio is not correct, unburned fuel comes out of the exhaust http://img5.blogs.yahoo.co.jp/ybi/1...der/1526289/img_1526289_51811442_8?1295833501 http://blogs.yahoo.co.jp/kurumanosentakuya/51811442.html http://blogs.yahoo.co.jp/kurumanosentakuya/archive/2012/3/25 Here is how to test them http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2zblyxQzyf4 This might be related to your oil problem.
it s been my experience, regardless of manufacturer, that you have a compression leak on the bottom end or valve guides. when I over heated my engine the oil rings collapsed and it started smoking out the tail pipe and blowing oil out of the air filter... I swear I was using more oil than gas driving to work.
Great pictures Shogun. I am right in the middle of trying to get Honda carb. to idle. It runs great on the upper end but low rpms is not there. I feel like I have a fuel and or air passage stopped up somewhere. MILT, where in the heck have you been? Hows the business going? Terry Trax and Horns Austin,Tx
I closed the shop a little over a year ago because of the divorce I couldn't run it alone. after that I just focused on being a good dad and winning back my wife... which was a success. so now I'm semi retired and doing some trim carpentry part time... and spend a lot of time playing with my son out in the garage " fixing" things... the boy loves tools, the apple didn't fall far from the tree
