Has anyone had any luck finding one of these relays locally. I have found they are used in most of these trucks. I can get an old dirty used one off ebay for 8$ plus shipping. Give me a break! Surely some domestic vehicle uses the same one. On a side note, I searched "Daihatsu" on ebay on got nothing but the sound of crickets. This is not good! -Greg
just re-tin the old relay....pop the cover off and with a soldering iron allow each connection to re-puddle...microscopic cracks in the solder usually screw up relays...Learned to do this years back when a Mercedes relay was going to cost me $400...necessity is a mother and not always of invention
Its worth a try. It still clicks so I think the contacts are just worn out. Thanks, Ill see what happens.
if that fails.... Brand Name Part Number Denso 056700-4000, 056700-9160 Mitsubishi MB141967, MB183865 Standard Motor Products RY351 Subaru 82501 AA210
Did what you said. Opened it up, after I figured out how to, and gently actuated the contact manually. Must of been a very small granule of sand or something in there because there was somewhat of a click and I popped it back in and Im back in business. Gonna order the rockauto one and put it in one of the extra slots as a spare. Thanks fupa!
Curious about what that relay operates. I believe I am having problems with a headlight relay. When I turn the parking lights on the headlights turn on very dim and no parking lights on the front. Tail lights do come on. In headlight position everything lights up correctly. High beams work correctly as well. I don't even know where the headlight relay is located.
from what I found Denso relay 056700-9160 crosses to: Subaru #82501aa210 Wells #20097, numerous aftermarket parts houses carry Wells Napa/Echlin #ar498, aftermarket $29us here
