never saw this thread before, its pretty cool.

For the last 8 months mini-trucks have been more than just my hobby. I started off with one truck last June and now im up to 5 trucks including a 1964 Daihatsu Hijet. I also own a 71 Honda N600, 67 Impala with a 454 and a 2003 Acura RSX. When im not working on mini trucks i like to play basketball or go jogging in the hills behind my house. I also like to go riding, i have 2 quads. Im 21 years old so i also go out every other night but In 2 weeks i will be leaving to the Air Force Reserves and when i return i plan on buying a few more trucks :p

I currently drift my 1987 AE86 at events and practice sessions.

In the process of building it up with a neat engine swap and a cage. :D

That video is nuts. I just bought a rc car last week after being away from it for 20 years. It's an old RC10B2, $50 complete running with some spares. My girls and I will will have fun beating on it this summer. I don't really consider the mini truck a hobby, It's officially "transportation" as far as I'm concerned

My main summer hobby, Not just this one, I enjoy any 2 wheeled toys.

My winter hobby, Taking my ladies to Orlando. I know it's more of a vacation but it gets treated more like a hobby at our house. We spend more time, money, & energy on the annual Orlando trip than my bike gets. My youngest is 6 and I think she has been there 5 times???

That drift video I saw a few weeks ago. very well done. only problem with drift RC's is that its like real drifters. there isnt a place in town to drive them without wrecking them from the bad roads!

Im kinda big into the scale and equipment RC's. This is my Tamiya Mercedes Benz. I have a plow for the front of it now and a deck mounted on the back. I have another custom made cab for it but i havent finished it yet.

Being broke because of a cool hobby is better than being broke and not having a fricken clue where your money has disappeared to... then remembering the bills, bills, bills, and... um ... bills? lol

I got divorced, and it was in the wife's name.

I sold it cheap for $1600.. just before the prices quadrupled. :(

    86HP? Sure it wasn't an AE85?

Stock 4AG was what... 120ish HP?

Bummer, I love 86's with all my heart and soon I might start loving Vans !! :D

EDIT : Well over the ages, I bet I lost a bunch of power. (Hehe 86hp was a little joke, hehe get it. 86... Not funny >_> )
I'm doing a blacktop 20v so power might not be and issue, haha !

Stick with the stock engine... run solex carbs, metal head gasket, and 288/288 cams. Solid 160HP at the wheels... it's what I had :)

I honestly really thought of that, with a highcomp redtop motor. But the cost is equivalent to my Blacktop swap which is 170hp aprox with my header, intake and exhaust, which is all I really want. Nothing more... I'm not power hungry haha, and ITB's stock, who could resist!

I already got the engine too so, heh heh. Oops.

A customer at my shop just installed an SR20 turbo engine in his. Good fit, and 200+ HP with some tuning.

Oh we got several of those here, really good sounding stuff. Some rotary and 3TC swapped also. I really like the idea of staying within the family tree though.

Even though the blacktop isn't great for drifting, it's really all I need haha.
