Is anyone using 0W30 synthetic in their 3 cyl Daihatsu? I am thinking that is the way I'd like to go.

I use 0w30 synthetic year round in my Hijet. Works great here in the great white north. I wouldn't use it in the summer in a warmer climate however.

I used 0/30 last winter as well. I use it in all my machines that have to run every day, tractors, loaders, trucks, and even the quads. It is well worth the extra cost. I also changed out all the transmission, transfer case and differential oils to a synthetic transmission/hydraulic oil. With the normal oils when you started up the hijet at -30, the motor would stall as soon as you let the clutch out. Now when you start up in the cold there is no difference from a warm weather start.
