4x4 button on dash

    If the ACTY is full time four wheel drive, what exactly is the 4x4 switch on the dash for (next to the cargo light switch)?

    It's a differential lock button.

    Thanks, does it just engage when in compound 1 or reverse?

    Yes, only in ultra low range.

    Thanks for the reply. I haven't had a chance to use it, does it make a lot of difference with traction?

    I was thinking that's how it was working. The switch light works and I can hear it engage when in U1 but not the other gears. My instrument panel light must be burnt out.

    It works really well. Especially in the snow.
