i believe that my float is stuck, took off air breather hose and sprayed carb cleaner into carb, truck started and died after burning off carb spray, i am having trouble finding location of bolts that hold carb on, can anyone help? and also i have bought a one gallon can of "You Soak it" and plan on soaking the carb, is this a good idea or not? Working off a poor mans budget. Thanks!:frustration:

How was the truck running before this? If it was running good one day then would not run the next day I would think it would not be the float and would say it is the fuel shutoff valve (on the side of the carb ) you will see wires going to it.

Also your fuel pump may be F***ed.

Try to hit your carb with a rubber hammer that may unstuck the float if that is what is happening

well it was running fine when i first got it about a couple of months ago, but the last time i took it to my lease it started taking the engine to turn over more than usual to start, and then one day nothing, i have replaced the fuel filter and took the hose off the carb coming from the filter and turn over the engine and gas just came pumping out.

so maybe i hit something when i was out at the lease and knocked it loose. thanks for your help! Xman (SA,Texas)
