looking for a way to beat the U.S. ignition system. then felt i could help out some of the guys with lefty's. we gotta stick together to keep these ridiculous little trucks running...
I'm going to try and comply and register a Subaru Sambar in Edmonton next week, and I want to learn what I can before I start to jump thru the hoops.
Information. I came first to gather information and then to share my own experiences. I've gotten a lot from this forum and hope to be able to give some back! Now that I have successfully passed an ordinance in my home county to make my truck street legal I hope to spread that knowledge to others trying to do the same... with any luck I'll be able to get a statewide law passed making them street legal all over Minnesota, but if not I will at least be able to make more use of my truck than just an ATV.
information, find a truck for dad, found out about the bigger trucks on here to, then aquired said trucks, then use this forum for parts and maintenance etc. Also *whispers* thanks for the free parking
Got a free Mitsu Minicab, got it running, LOVE IT! Price was right, so now trying to find the bits and pieces to make the little truck work properly, without "breaking the bank"!!! (In other words, not pissing the wife off too much!) Special thanks to "Dan", THE MAN when it comes to Mitsu lefty info/parts! Dan--if you are reading this--and I'm sure you are--I will get back to you someday soon on the parts we discussed earlier! Just a lot of other "priorities" have stepped in.:frustration:
this market doesnt have the deep dealer network that will sell, service, and maintain your vehicle like you would with a normal vehicle. This site makes a great substitute for all of those things and the people are more fun that any dealership ive ever been to.
Lonely, gee wizzz I made some good friends. Really I was driving down I 35 towards Dallas and saw one sitting on the side of the road. The next thing I knew I was importing them. Cant get them out of my head. Ive been a member here since 2007. I have troubled shoot some problems and have tried to pass them on because I to had a lot of questions when my first container arrived. 4 1/2 yrs. later I am still buying em and selling em. The biggest thing is, that I believe in them. You still get a big bang for the buck, and when its cold and raining I am warm and dry, still running around the ranch. Cheers, www.traxandhornsminitrucks.com
Because I have 5 Diahatsu Mini Trucks with 2 different parts manuals and 1 service manual, and nothing matches. LOL
Answers I registered on this site for the free flowing information and ideas! This site has been an invaluable reference tool for me. The "Lulu" manual has been an OK reference. But need a question ANSWERED? This is where I turn. I like the fact of having a lot of different minds and backgrounds coming together on this *odd* hobby. (Thats what I am told it is, anyway) I don't think it is odd, and it's not a hobby either. It has grown to an OBSESSION, a SICKNESS even?!? Whatever! This site gives me the confidence to takle some minor repairs on my own, cuz I know you guys have my back! And no matter how many times I drive my truck, it always gives me a grin!
