Here's a photo of a 1990 Suzuki running a hay inverter out in our Alfalfa. I promised to post this photo before but just ran across it on the computer. We put a skid plate on the bottom of the truck so taller winrows wouldn't get caught up in the drive shaft.
i read on page one that a certain truck is better if you are over 6 feet. but the same truck wasnt good offroad. i plan on using mine off road but i am 6'5.
I always hate old threads being bumped up but this thread is awesome. Very informative. Had my mind set on suzuki but now my height, 6'2, says I may have to look at the Subaru. kastles
take it to adam allen in shrieveport la. he will put extendedcab and real seats look at my photo album
I was told that 99 and newer yeare models were better for taller people. I sat in a new model subaru and had very good room 6'2@290 but rather have a newer suzuki or mitsubishi but haven't found one to try.
since this thread got dug up, awesome trucks and info guys! and is that a side power tailgate on jliltd's large truck?
If Jliltd is still on this forum, or if anyone else can answer the question, I am curious to know the offset or backspacing of the ITP rims in the picture above . . . where the 23" Carlisles fit a Suzuki Carry without a lift kit. The ones I have seen available are either 5+2 or 6+1. Not sure which is best for clearance without a lift. Thanks in advance.
Hate to bump an old thread but... ...well... ...time marches on. I did love the comparison information provided by Jliltd on drive-ability on-road and off-road. Does anyone have any update, similar to the original post, that discusses/compares the newer models? Here in Canukistan we can put 15 year old mini trucks on the road. That means soon all of the models up to 2004 will be usable for us. As a Kei truck newbee, I've been scouring the ethernet, absorbing all the information available. There are some great videos and Q&As from retailers. (Not sure if it is acceptable to mention names of these businesses here.) Also tried searching here as well. Any updated details/opinions would be most appreciated. Would love to hear thoughts on drive-ability, ease of maintenance, parts availability, mods, etc. Hoping to purchase one myself soon. Use would be for both on-road and light off-road (forestry trails and ag fields). Gotta git them tasty critters to the table somehow ya know (and finish the house/garage reno's). Blessngs.
