Wonder what the top end is like on this bad boy....bet 80kph tops...looks sweet though....note the mirrors, fender flares, and front signal light guards..nice!
HHmmm...I didn't notice the shortened box..but it definately is..on first glance I just thot the rear bumper was made to protrude....it is cool ,looks like a mini unimog
did some more hunting and found some more photos under construction...it appears it is shortened (the bed) began as the white/yellow and finished as the german army green.... so it will look like a mini unimog..guess thats why it reminded me of a mog..called "Minimogu kimi"
I thought at first the frame might be stretched... but on closer inspection I see the fuel filler neck is past the end of the box. For whatever reason ... I still really like the look of this little truck! I think you might be right... the shorter box makes everything else look a tiny bit "Bigger" by way of perspective. z
now thats what i call lifted minis! i'm picturing arnold schwarzenegger in so low budget film screaming in his austrian accent "quick jump in my mini hummer"!!! lol on another note, i wonder where the first guy got his fender flares? i put a one inch wheel spacer on mine to give me more stability after i lifted it. now it throws mud so bad you cant even see out the side windows. trying to come up with something to knock the mud down. any one have flares on theirs?
Ten random thoughts: 1. Thumbnails on my phone's browser wont expand =( so when people post images that way, i can see em well.... 2. ill get over it 3. Wonder what they fabricated up front for the IFS (looks like it was done well) drool... 4. Why shorten the tail gate? Am i missing somthing? Seems silly 5. BFG makes an AT version of that tire in 195-70 R14, (about 25.7" overall dia). Those look bigger than 25 ( would guess 27") 6. Wonder if the drive lines are beefed up 7. Wonder if the engine can handle 8. Wonder if there is a supercharger/turbo on it to help 9. I really like that mini truck 10. I think i would do it differently tho
Is that even Mitz driveline? Something seems fishy. Is that IFS? Why someone would go through all this trouble and not go solid axle would be strange. I'm thinking he slapped the body on a whole other frame axles and engine. Has anyone found a buildup site for this thing? It's awesome!
I will venture to guess that they wanted the departure angle to be close to the approach angle. Nothing is worse than dragging your rear bumper up or down an obstacle.
i wonder if putting the cab and box from a mini on a sidekick or a tracker would accomplish the same thing..
