  2. Fantastic News

    :D:D:D

Mid South Sokon now has DEALER and CUSTOMER financing, terms vary and will be dealt with on case by case basis.

4x4 will also have hi and low available option as some people requested. Trucks will have VINS and can be titled.

I hope this can change some thoughts of our company.

We will be flying potential dealers on our dime, to come test drive our truck if the situation is good for both parties. Closer cities may be able to have a model driven to them.

So if you want to become a dealer, and have good credit, let us know and we can setup you up from the ground up.

We will be breaking ground on our memphis showroom next month, downtown, next to beale street and fedex forum. So this spring, come see the grizz play, eat some ribs, party on beale, and check out our showroom.

Just dont come this weekend, ice storm tonight, but it was 67 yesterday, :frustration:

Our first few visitiors will be seeing our trucks next week, and then they will tell you if we are the real deal or not.

So please hold all the bashing until told otherwise. I have made this real prominent because I stand by this truck, and if we succeed or if we fail, you will all know on this site.

So either way you can get the word out.

Is NEV means neighborhood electric vehicle?

  4. Yes, I didnt type the gas model in. The gas 4x4 and 4x2 model is called "sarge"

  5. Just wanted to let you know we had an engineering spec to be changed before we did the commercial shoot. We have to address this before Chinese New Years.Sorry for not coming through. Will post pictures as soon as this is done. We did sign up dealers in Arizona, Minnesota, South Dakota, and Texas. We will have these addresses too as soon as they are posted.

Huh, in MN too eh? Interesting... maybe I'll get to see one of these babies first hand :)

  7. I've been watching/ reading this thread and the trucks look interesting and when you said the name "sarge" I remembered that some guys in Missouri started a brand called 'sarge" http://minitrucksrus.com/. they've been working on brining these trucks to market for several years, they look pretty similar and the branding of the "sarge" seems to indicate they at least come from the same factory, is this correct?

My boss was yawing on and off about how she needed my help for the mail-count days starting at the end of this month. I was listening for awhile but then she started going on about this form and that form until finally I told her I can help. I can do a good job but I can't crap ice cream. Two carriers overheard and started laughing. She did not think if was funny at all.

She says to me just so i understand what you are saying, you are going to help me at first then if it takes to much effort I am on my own. You are washing your hands of me. She then looks right at me as she's talking.

I guess I didn't think it through when I said it to her. Is that what it means?

I just thought it sounded funny.

Yeah, pretty much until now and you happened along.

Well first I was trying to think of something that describes the truck that mid sougth fokum says they imported unsucessfully a few years ago. They called the truck SARGE. I thought of the acranimes above myself an my girlfriend thought mabe

    Sorry Aging Retarded Gross Employee

as a tribute to the persons that does the posts and brought up crapping ice cream as an answer.
This answer got me thinking maybe I was missing something and I should apply what I am learning from the Chinese people

That's were I was on the post above that you read. Following there lead didnt work that well for me.

I guess when you actually have to be accountable it bites.

Hey did they send you any pics of the trucks???? That were not photoshoped???

I talked to one Minitruck dealer and he showed me a picture of the same truck they are selling. He is working on being another exclusive sole US distributer if he can get the parts problem solved.

nope... he did send me a PM saying the same jazz about his photoshoot... i would be skeptical of anything that they are ashamed to walk outside and take a cell phone pic and post it on the internet w/o a full "photoshoot"... they are utility vehicles, not exotic sports cars... they dont need a professional spread... just walk out there and take a pic like they are... like this... i walked outside, snapped a pic and posted it on the internet... a 5 minute process... what do you think???

There is a great electric car made in Canada, and its not legal for Canada. I think its rather difficult to get vehicles legal for the road. If Canadian made vehicles can't be legalized, I'd imagine foreign vehicles would have a difficult time.:frustration:

  15. Dragg...here you go...

Sorry it took a while but we have been busy...sorry for all that jazz....jeezz cut me some slack, we had a major issue we had to take care of..plus were in talks with Canada right now to get them up north. Thats taken a lot of focus.

The one we have had has been being shipped around, all across the country to different people, and since we had to make a spec change, we didnt get anymore ordered for demos until this change was made,

Wow, I take one week off from posting and now everyone thinks I am liar. Look you can say what you want, its fine.

Sarge was a truck we came out with years ago and it didnt work. We refunded over a million dollars to dealers. We went back to the drawing board and now have a new factory making the truck and a new truck completely. I assure you I am working with the sole distributor, and if you send me the name of the other dealer I will let you know whether we are dealing with them or not.

Believe it or not, we are actually signing up dealers, so sorry to crash your "Expose the new guy party"

I know its the cool thing, to be the forum member or mod to bust out the new guy, and by all means go for it. But I only posted to this board to try to get some information from people who would use this truck. I know that most people here dont want to be dealers.

We have had several reasons why we havent done a ton of huge photos, because we havent had that much time to get them done. We have been to 3states in a week and I apologize.

Also, we will be at the show in Indy, and I will be there, my name is Ashley, and I am 6 2 and 200lbs, brown hair, blue eyes, so please come and talk to me. I would love to show you how much better our product is than the older model.

I have no problems at all telling you we failed on the earlier model. Thats what biz is about, making the product better. People like Toyota who cover up what they did wrong, always get found out in the end.

Canada is tough. We had many meetings and phone conversations with the Head Cheese at transport Canada.

The TC (CMVSS) standards required are difficult to meet without spending a fortune and a half!

I have a copy of the required crash tests and whatnot somewhere. Quite interesting stuff.

Electric is easier, however only legal for road use in 1 province as far as I am aware.

I showed this picture to a Chinese lady on my route. She says it is very popular in China. I asked her what it was called and she started to blush. I finally got it out of her.
She said it was called rough sex red pug dick pink.

    I fell down laughing.

  20. Stuff your answer

This one is not a high end model, just added accessories because it will be our show truck at different trade shows. This one is pictured with lift, wrap, tires and rims. We have 10 demos arriving in the next 2 weeks and will have more pics then of how they come standard. Here are some more pics of us wrapping it.

We are taking this one to the trade show in Indy this week, and this will probably be the one on our new website, as well.

But all of our 4x4s will come with the same features, we dont plan on having options on this model of truck, one price, one set of features.

Now on our other lines of vehicles (vans, buses, etc) in the future may have other option levels, but on this model, everyone will come the same.

    Here are some other pics

The truck looks pretty sweet dude! I like the HID lighting up front; that's a nice touch. They look pretty big though; not that that's necessarily a bad thing but I'd imagine balancing economy and power is difficult with them being that size? It looks like it's about the size of an 80's Ford Ranger with the perspective of the guys standing next to it; is that just my eyes playing tricks on me or something?

Trolls are amazing little creatures. I don't know how they type so well with those little hands?

    Jeff-

  23. Thanks for your input, but the 2wd gas/electric will have those BMW type lights, you mean like this?

I have heard the ford ranger before, but it is a mini, the big thing is this, the 4x4 "sarge" model is built for harder off road use, and the headlights need to be bigger than the on the road vehicle the "Sokon".

We have had lots of interest from South Dakota from what the office tells me, all of us have different people and were not announcing anything just yet. I will let you know, were revamping our websites here in the future and dealer lists will be on there.

hmmm bmw front looks nice and the 'ranger' front with the large lights makes it look like its more of a SUV

  25. Thanks, and no problem, you can email me or pm anytime. We are finalizing our marketing materials for the trade show in Indy and I will post those as well, for all the tech specs. The delay for not having them up as soon was a mechanical change in the 4x4 which caused a rewrite.

  26. I understand that the new lights may not have a "mini" look of what you are use too, but I think that once you see the new line of headlights being used across the board in this industry. You will understand why we went with them, they only look a little bigger, but at night, off road, they are INSANELY brighter than what you would expect.

Technology in headlights are allowing manufacturers to sometimes to triple the old headlight lightining with only expanding the lights a little.

But this is good to hear, we actually have had the most positive response because the new headlights look better, but hey to each their own.

  27. I have been trying to stay out of the fray because the last time I asked questions I got bitch slapped. Thank you very much.

Still, I have been lurking and this post is both humorous and intriguing to me. You see, we looked at the “Sokon” type trucks earlier last year. When we asked the Chinese factory representatives about parts they told us that the trucks come complete. (Ha, ha)

We explained our question for a while and finally they admitted understanding. The end result was once the product is not being made, you are out of luck when it comes to parts.
The problem with parts starts when the product stops being actively produced. Parts availability depends on the life cycle of the product. For something like this truck I would say 3-6 years before non compatible changes are made.

China mostly takes and scraps the old tooling used to make the parts in order to process the new order for new production which is much more important to them. In order to keep a part in production you would have to own the production line to keep them from destroying the old tools and forever preventing the part from being replicated. China as a whole is not concerned with filling parts orders unless the order is in addition to a production order. So you can buy all the parts you want while the truck is in production, but you might find slim pickings when the factory retools.

It would be nice to see China standardize their specifications on any part in production so that once a part is used for say the Sokon trucks it can be cross-referenced to one of the Vantage trucks. It would also be nice to see China give the parts makers some incentives to forgo the immediate profit of a new production order in exchange for the long term profits and stability of a parts order. As of now they do not seem to care about their overseas parts buyers. Until of course Sokon came into the picture and turned their entire hierarchy of conducting business on its collective head.

This! I find amazing. You have found success where countless others, me included, have found only failure. If you can get the Chinese to make parts for your trucks long after the production stops you are really doing something that no one else has been able to do.

    Congratulations!!

The only other way to make sure your customers do not run out of parts is to stockpile the parts long before the production stops. This would work up to a point if you are good about anticipating what parts will fail and your customers break the parts you think they will break. The weakness in this plan is you can only guess what parts will fail.

Again, thanks for sharing your success in this truly new revolutionary product production cycle.

By the way, if you don’t mind my asking, what did you do with all of the old SARGE trucks that you bought back because they were not good products? Didn’t they use the same motor as the new SARGE?

  28. Bob, Thanks for your information on Asian logisitics, manufacturing, and laws of supply and demand. I appreciate your time in posting.

Our original sarge truck was developed by a sub par company, probably the one you had experience with the first time. This sub par company which I will not name, did exactly what you said, thats how they worked.

We are now with a manufacturer now that is now aligned with Nissan, Honda, and Kia.

Bob, what I mean by align, is that when I go to China, the same people that make my "sarge" and "sokon" have Honda CRV's right next to them being produced

Would Honda allow themselves to make their car's at a place like our first manufacturer, NO, so what we decided was to go somewhere where waters were tested.

I guess only time will tell, but you will start seeing more and more of us as the spring progresses. And if all goes well next month, you will see us up north.

    Good Day, eh

Our Sarge truck has a new engine, because we are with a new manufacturer. We dont have that many old originial subpar trucks, because we only got one "last" container to see if they got it right, and they didnt. We then wired all of our money back, the way it was sent to us.

If you want one, I can sell it to you real cheap! ;-)

And as far as finding something revolutionary, it is possible to fail and find out something new that works where others have failed.

I dont know if you are a big reader or not, but the Wright Brothers werent the only people inventing the plane at the time, and a lot of people said it couldnt be done.
Eventually, if you have enough time and plenty of money, there is no reason a problem can not be solved or a need met.

  29. Ashley, I thank you for your prompt answers.

Just for s**ts and giggles do you think you could perhaps provide me with any of the names that you have on any of the required government forms?

I ‘m sure you know what I mean, you know having spent millions of dollars in development and all, I am sure you are quite proud of the results of your emission tests, NHTSA crash tests, manufacture of record recording 551 filing I think you get my drift.

I mean, I believe you and all and I know you have dotted all the "i" s and crossed the "t"s, but I would like to, you know do that thing that they call due diligence and well I hate to put you out, but if you could help me out it would possibly pave the way for a new customer or two.
