I know most of you sound way more experienced than me about all this mechanic stuff. I want to know if I can put a 660 motor in my 1988, U157, 3G91..... (of course it has the 550) If so does anyone know where I could find one?? All your help is greatly appreciated.
I am also interested in this. I would like to know if the transmissions are interchangable. I would like to put a 660 trans on my 550 David
bit of old thread but would like some info, i just got a 1990 mini cab with a 550 and track kit on it need little more giddy up
from the info I can find the 550 and 660 use a different tranny case..One of the suppliers should know for sure
I'm really surprised I'm not seeing this question answered. I did a ton of searching and only see things that make me assume they don't swap. I guess there's not much parts changing that goes on between old and new stuff... If I could find a 660 4 or 5 speed trans, it seems that would be a really nice upgrade and far easier to find than one from a 550.
