[rant] i mean people dont go to a generic 4x4 site and refer "these 4x4's"... no they have names, they have generic designations, they are not "these trucks" i just wish people would not act so damn ignorant about kei's, that is all... [/rant]

i know i would be way more likely to help w/ questions and concerns that people have if they showed a little more education about "these trucks"... because if you have one post and you are asking a dumb ass question about kei's then you know they obviously have not searched, they registered, made one post and then gone forever... what do they have to contribute??? nothing, because they dont even care to search and ask an educated question...

there should be a time limit for new users to start posting, make them spend some time looking around at the abundant info that is here instead of posting a one liner repost...

I'm just sick of everyone telling me every time they come upon four or five of "those little trucks" for sale next to a highway. :)

When I have Lil Squirt at a event a lot of people ask me if it is a antique fire truck. NOOOOO. Some people think it is a "rea"l fire truck. So I understand your fustration. Remember you cant fix stupid

  5. This is a "dumb ass" thread.... Glad you are not a moderator here - please don't apply. So you know everything about kei trucks huh? Bet everyone had to start some where and ask those "dumb ass" ... :sly::rolleyes::p

obviously you missed my point... people DONT search, instead they just start a new thread that has already been discussed a thousand times... even if they started a new thread and began w/ "i read that _____ and i still cant get _____ to work, please help".... it lets everyone know that they have attempted to educate themselves and obviously more likely to help... if a person signs on and there first post is "i have a red light on my dash" in the carry forum, everyone knows that is the pyrometer for the catayltic converter... it has been talked about to death, yet its just another dumb ass thread because someone was to lazy to search... this is the root of my complaint...

  7. This is a public geared forum - its about asking questions, learning about 'these or those trucks', and figuring out how everything ticks. Some times you don't even know what something is called etc ... you have a large user base with differences. If you are tired of the redundant topics - ignore them or ignore the user - this site has tools you can choose to use or not use. Whats common knowledge to you is not to me ... :frustration:

You can either welcome a newbie or call them a 'dumb ass' etc. Take a public service position and let me know how you like it - or raise some children? :(

  8. BTW Spammers drive me nuts ... but thats been discussed too. Some way to apply small charges for forum use or billing would possibly be one way to cure. But I'm off topic already...

i don't understand why draggbody needs to get on this site and complain about asking a question. i am sure this person has asked a question or two in the past, and i am sure that they would not like being called a dumbass :( i get questions asked of me all the time, some i have answered before and some not, but like my teacher from school would always say "there is never a dumb question). so i guess what i am trying to say is, if you don't like being part of a information forum, no one is telling you to stay, but i hope you do because maybe you may have some info someone can use, even if you answered it before :)

i am apart of lots of forums as i have a vast interest in many hobbies... forums are for information, i share as well as receive info... i realize that this forum deals w/ information that alot of people dont know about, however, what is the point of coming to a new forum and treating it as though everyone is new to this like they are... so is it fair they are so selfish to come on to a forum of there new interest and just feel entitled to ask for information just because they are to lazy to search... you are right, there are no dumb questions, but how many times does the same one need to be asked???

I agree, It very well could be an issue of not understanding how to do a search for some that are not internet savy.

If he didn't have a son who knew so much about it, maybe he wouldn't know.

Meh. If people weren't bitching about reposted questions they'd be bitching about people bumping old threads because they searched and an old thread came up... :p
