Freeze plug?

Anyone know if these mini trucks have freeze plugs? We had a cold snap here in SD (high yesterday was -1), and now my 2000 Carry is leaking coolant. It only has 8,000 KM on it so I can't believe it's the pump gone bad already.

Yes there are freeze plugs. But they would not pop till -5 to -10 if you have 100% h2o in it.

I will bet it is your pump leaking,

    Your truck may have 108,000km

Now how bad is the leak?

I don't think it has 108,000 because I have a 6 digit odometer. I was afraid it was the pump....not so much for the cost, but the labor and inaccessibility.

The leak is very sporadic. It doesn't really leak that much when it is running, but when I shut it off it's a pretty solid stream. I've checked all the hoses and can't find it for the life of me, so it has to be coming from the pump somewhere.

So I think I figured it out....The pictures below are of the top of the engine. On the back side of that hose there was a small hose that was not attached to #1, which I assume is the overflow tube?? I could not find a clip loose anywhere, does anyone know if it is supposed to have one?

Also, what is the purpose of #2? Is this where the thermostat is?

The first picture is just an overview shot to orient yourself.
