ok so here is the question..
when i lock the door from inside and close the door.... It unlocks the door......:sly:
so i have to lock it with the key from outside...
    how can i fix this?

    next...

when the clutch is in all the way, it still grinds the gears.. like a synchro is gone... what can we do for this??

    thanks alot
    Dom

As far as I know, you can't fix the door lock thing. It's so you don't lock your keys inside! Although I would agree it is kinda annoying.

I agree it's so you can't lock your keys inside. On my Honda you can't even push the door lock down if the door's open on the drivers side. The clutch problem sounds like it needs adjusted. How much freeplay does the pedal have?

called "dummy locks" you have to have door open, lock door, LIFT handle and close door, release handle. should stay locked. my truck, mom's suzuki sidekick, and the subaru loyale is like that to.

    it is annoying.
    it needs power locks :D

the pedal is fairly hard, little to no play.
i could try to adjust it. see how it works.

its designed so that you cant accidentally close and lock the door.

its annoying when friends dont lock the doors and stuff goes missing..

Children are starving in Africa and lifting the handle is annoying..don't make me come down there young man;)
just kidding..you get used to it.. though your passengers never will

    Hey fupa,
I call'em JAP LOCKS, as in what's wrong with my door locks? Ho, you got jap locks..
    They're trickie...
Outside operation was covered well but ever push down on the lock from the inside, with the door closed? Now try to get out...ho..you can't...
Only one way will open it..with the lock down, lift and release outside handel, then pull lock, then open door....also will work with key, but you have to lift and release the outside handel FIRST...jap lock solution...remove the locks..

Sorry, thought you started that one..

Anyway, your tranny grind is the syncro, but there's nothing wrong with it..
Ever try to down shift at high speeds...grind..force...grind..
You have to think like an engineer on meth with these trucks..
I'll try to explain with the 5 speed, shifting between 3and4 and 5..
So from 4..will downshift to 3but not 2..will upshift to 5
    up-shift to5..will downshift to 3 and/or2 but not 4

So from 5th I pre-shift to 3 with the clutch in, sets the syncro, then 4 and clutch out..now your syncro is set to down shift through the gears.

Hey, I didn't design them..and no I didn't need meth to figure it out..

Spaner....is your truck posessed  if my doors are locked I pull the handle(inside) and it opens.....Dom..is it grinding in all gears? reverse? more info needed

it grinds when i shift into reverse, it grinds when i go into 1st or start off in 2nd.
    these are from N.
its just a quick "Grrrrrrrrindddd" than its fine.
    while driving its fine.
its just the start, i found that if im in N and the revs are high and i go to put it into gear than thats usually when it does it.

how high are the rpms when you are shifting ? seems your problem is rpms not grinding,if you rev anything high enuf it won't want to go into gear from a dead stop

it happens when the rpms are low, even when shifting into reverse from a stop. but if i am rolling backwards it wont do it. when i drive and shift from 2nd to 1st and it will do it. rpms still not the high.

I can't think of a vehicle that will NOT grind shifting second to first...as far as I know unless you are dead stopped you should never downshift into first, even with the clutch in the syncros are prepped to upshift .. reverse grinding is fairly normal as well..when you are in nuetral put the clutch in,shift to 3rd or 4th(don't release clutch) then shift into reverse..should not grind that way.....I don't know if you are downshifting to engine brake. If you are it is a practice that should only be used in emergencies or hauling a load on steep inclines(offroading is a different matter altogether) The old practice of engine braking is hard on your tranny and your clutch..it comes from a time when brakeshoes were made of leather and beaver pelts...shift to nuetral release the clutch and use the brakes, they're cheap to replace, trannys and clutches are not;)

I can seeee clearly now...the rain is gone...

Tonight, on paranormal state, Spaner's mini truck...
Known to be possesed by Ronin after commiting suboko, ritualistic sueside in protest of the hiring of the said mini for a clown show in Osaka.

Polterguist activity include locking the owner in his own truck preventing down-shifting and allowing nothing but static to come through on the radio..

    The investigation, continues....

id say it sounds like either the clutch is slipping or it is not set correctly and is not fully dis-engaging when your foots down. you are putting your foot all the way down right?
