well i am sure most of you know that getting any dealer manuals for HIjets is nigh on impossible! well it is in the UK! i have the following and i am willing to share, only rule is that you share them out too. elevate the hunt for info. Diesel 1.2, 4 Cyl S85- full dealer manual in .pdf-8.9MB 3cyl 998cc EFI- partial dealer manual. 3cyl petrol- partial dealer manual i do have a couple of others but cant remember what they are.. thing is, where can i upload these so people can get to them? i do use media fire & photobucket. is there a central server i can upload to?
I'm showing a max file size limit of 19MB for pdf attachments on this site. Might be different for me though. Have you tried to attach it? -Greg
"Your submission could not be processed because a security token was missing or mismatched. If this occurred unexpectedly, please inform the administrator and describe the action you performed before you received this error." when i attempted to upload the diesel pdf!
Thats what you get for uploading copyrighted meterial....pdf files have hidden keys if you are not the originator or creator of the file...
none of these PDFs have any keys in them and i didnt "do" the copying. from what i can tell, the original manuals were photocopied then scanned in, then "sewn" together in to a pdf. but hey i guess you dont mind struggling to find information that will save you money and time on doing jobs. as far as i am concerned, i am not selling the info so i am not making any gain from it.
Thanks for Sharing I agree with you. It would be different, like you say if these could be purchased anywhere. I have a 1999 Daihatsu Deck Van automatic with an EF-VE slanted engine. I am just trying to get my own vehicle running. I purchased the only daihatsu manuals that appear to be for sale at lulu.com from James Danko. While I appreciate his capitalism (over $100.00 us for manuals) they do not have the part numbers for my model. It is no more wrong to "share" information that cannot be purchased than it is to "sell" information that you have translated but will not sell copies of others that you have yet to translate. If anyone can share some part numbers with me I would greatly appreciate it.
Come on, there are no manuals from James that cost over $100??? The highest manual is $69 and that’s because it cost a lot to make them. These books are NOT translations, they are original copyrighted material. You can answer questions (just like I do) but we can not post copies. If you have a question on a part number simply email me and if I have time Ill look it up for you. There will be a new Daihatsu version for the S200 to 300 series end of next month. Br, Don
I purchased both the standard manual and the electric diagram version. Just so you know I am not exaggerating. I did not say it was not worth it. Or that James is not providing a service that I was glad to purchase. Here is the point. I have a broken down vehicle that I am unable to fix because I cannot find a part number for it. Why is it so wrong to share information with other vehicle owners so that they can repair a vehicle? What gives any company or individual the right to stop people from sharing this information that is not available for purchase?
The likes of Hynes/clymer dont have part numbers in them, so *i* would not expect to see part numbers in any "service manual" Part numbers for me have always come from microfiche for XXX vehicle. which i am am also on the hunt for..
Box.net is working for me. I've been posting pdf mitsubishi manuals there. there are links to my box account in the mitsubishi-reference section of the forum. box.net will allow you to put anything there for others to download regardless of the format. Share what you've got. I'm sure it will be appreciated. heres a link to what i've scanned. service/tech manuals and some of the parts book. http://www.box.net/shared/0kpymfg7bs
sounds like a similar service. I can choose which files or folders to share and/or selectively pick who to share with.
James is doing a great job with his manuals. They do show some part numbers and is a great laymans reference. Just doesn't have my model yet. Thanks dan for sharing info. Will contact Steven to see if he can get my parts. Just need a timing belt and tensioner I think.
Of course we have all the part numbers for all trucks as we are in Japan. If someone wants me to look a specific part they are all at my finger tips. Cheers, Don
what would be good is if the whole collection of parts fiche was available to buy. i have 4 sets for my motorcycle and is very useful over the years
That's what I'm waiting for. I'm hoping James is doing a parts manual for the 93 KS4 Sambar. Any news Don?
Hello Everyone, sorry been busy latley. Here is the update on the manuals. a new Daihatsu parts manual and a Subaru should be out begining of May. I saw the Subaru manual already and James is waiting on a signoff from Subaru for the publishing persimission. A Mitsubishi manual is also finished but a hold up with Mitsubishi waiting for approval on a few items. They are really slow. If anybody need parts looked up just let me know. Also, all James manuals are now available on Amazon.com! Just type in James Danko in the search and all the books appear. Cheers, Don
Wow what a manual. I wish that the Danko Manuals had that much effort. I would pay lots for a manual that comprehensive!!
Too bad the James Manuals are not done the same way. I have sets of factory shop manuals for all the other vehicle that I own. They are done the same as those PDF ones. Too bad the English one that I bought isn't complete by any stretch of the imagination. Some of the procedures out lined are inaccurate. Try following that head removal on a 12 valve F6A engine. It is unlikely that the head can be removed without removing the camshaft first. I found that this manual is missing a great deal of needed info. It is guite incomplete.
i have a RapidShare acount i can put all manual on my acount and you do not ahve to jion to down load them just lilmted to 1 down every so min that box.net site blows

Great post! Thanks.......... Do you have any PDFs for the front axle, gear boxes, air conditioning, heating system and engine? That English knock off manual has little info on the gear boxes. They do not give any tolerance measurements
