I have a 92 Honda and it is a great ride. I would like to have a Toyota Highace that has a desiel motor. Does anyone know anything about these? I know they made them from 92-95. I wonder how come the other truck manufactors have never put a little desiel motor in these? They would run forever.

That would fall under the Kei laws in japan. I belive, putting a desiel in isnt allowed. or they would sel like hotcakes over here

What is it about diesels that gets folk so excited? I'm so far north that I wouldn't consider one. Just too many mornings that the fuel would be thicker than shampoo. But, even here, there is no shortage of diesel pick-ups rolling around. I've never understood the attraction.

    Torque, torque, torque, and mileage.

They run forever and have power to spare. A gas motor starts petering out starting at 75,000-100,000. A desiel motor is just starting to get broke in at that mileage.

i'm glad my buddy didn't know gas motors are only good for 100,000 miles... he drove his toyota with original motor for 450,000 miles...

i used to hate diesels.. they are smelly, greasy, nasty beasts of burden. i used to be a diesel mechanic and hated it. but when i was contracting and needed a heavy hauler i bought an oil burner. they are great, but only if you want to do less maintenance, get more miles per gallon and have plenty of power.

Here is a link to one.
These look amazing. I'm sure they would be a gre3at ride on pavement.
And a Toyota Diesel Engine. come-on. I hope I can afford to get one of these.
