I am new here would like to know what is the differnce between a 91 carry 91DB51t and a 91 carry 91DB51t I am thinking about a 91 carry 91DB51t can anybody tell me thanks a lot
yes that is what i was asking but didn't quite know how to go about it I am looking at a 91 carry the cooling fan on the water pump and 12 valves writen on the valve cover and it is a DB51T i think ! Iwas wondering if the DD51T might a 6 valve engine I don't have one to look at so I can tell the difference as I said I an new at these minis but like then a bunch and plan on getting one soon just trying figure out which one to buy I owened a 89 Samuri for 13 years and now owen a 95 Tracker and do like it a lot I would appreciate any help I can get ..thanks
Biggest differences between DD51T and DB51T. They are the same 12Valve engine. - DB51T - older model - cooling fan on water pump - radiator under the seat - smaller, older looking dash - many DB51T's have poor airflow from the heating system - DD51T - Electric Rad Fan - rad up in the front bumper - larger more contemporary looking dash - better airflow from the heating system I prefer a DDD51T. It is easier to work on (Dont need to remove the shroud and fan like the DB when doing a timing belt or water pump. )It also looks nicer inside. BUT, if you are a tall guy, the DB51T does offer marginally more leg room. The electric fan on the DD is something else to fail though, whereas the DB being off the water pump mechanically is less likely to fail.

The one I am looking at is a 91 DB I have been reading a lot of postings on here and have learned a lot doing so I am Eager to learn more since I entend to go through my little Carry when I get it. I have a 02 Mule that I need to move first but think I have a buyer for it thanks again for the info
I have a 91db and absolutely love it. I definitely agree about the looks of the interior but with a little extra time and some material you can improve the overall looks. as for space I am 6'1" 282lbs and actually fit in the truck. I have had to perfect the sideways shuffle to get in and out but to me it just adds to the joy of having the little guy. I have have had a bit of a challenge finding rims to fit my locking hubs but with knowledge of the guys on this forum there should be no issues. thanks everyone!
well I did not buy the 91 carry I ended up a 94 instead I have had it about a week and realy do like it a lot so far thanks for all the info this a great site
