Any one else have problems with parts fitting their Hi Jet? I went and got a set of the cv boots listed here which are Napa # 686-1188 and they are not even close, # 686-1189 will work with a slight mod. Could not find anything close at Oriely's, they looked at me like I was crazy when I mentioned a "small universal boot". I got a pair of the 2 5/8 ID front springs and some guys might be using them but they are not even close to actually fitting the struts in a proper manner. The factory spring is almost 4 inches OD so that is quite a difference in how things line up in the retainers. I did make a new set of rubber bumpers for my struts while I had them torn down as the originals were shot. I ordered a set of overload springs for the rear and they don't work either. I am really starting to wonder about a lot of the info running around about these trucks. I love my truck but from now on I am going to be doing all of my mods myself because what I am buying is not fitting.

welcome to the world of "grey market" vehicles... i feel for ya man... i've been through it before ever stumbled upon the mighty minis. had a grey market bmw M5 fantastic car, until it broke. what i could find was expensive, i think it was like $350 for distributor cap and wires... good grief.

I guess I would not mind the prices if stuff just fit. I have a rather extensive shop so a lot of the stuff I can fab up I just was trying to take the easy route and it has gotten me nowhere! So far my only success has been the oil filter!

Why don't you order the parts from a Dealer?

Did order rear springs from a dealer and they got back with me and as I had my stupid hat on the day I tried to put them on I now have them on the truck. Dealer was Crossroads and they were very helpful. The fronts are what everyone said they were using but they just seem to small in diameter to me to work right on the struts. I have a front lift kit about done (2 inch) and I am going to go with it for now.
