i was with them again last night and got the real scoop on height and weight...the driver in that pic is 6'5" and 265lbs and the passenger is 6'1" and 520!!!!!...total weight of 785lbs !!!!!!!!! I actually took the passenger for a ride in it....only gear I could use was third...the others...well lets just say i couldn't get there!
Going OT when I was in Vancouver picking up parts for my Sambar I asked if I could sit in this. It's a Mazda AZ-1 that was produced in the early 90's as a Kei "super car" unfortunatly for Mazda just as the Japanese economy tanked. It was actually made by Suzuki for Mazda and came with the K6A [?] turbo'd and can be tweaked to about 148 hp. Needless to say a guy that's 6' and 230 lbs didn't fit so well in it. My forehead is about level with the top of the windshield and I didn't dare shut the door. Then I had to figure out how to get out of it with out breaking anything
The AZ-1s seemed to bomb where I'm located. I remember a couple, but they weren't that popular. The Daihatsu Mira TRXX models were quick, but the most popular seemed to be the Suzuki Alto Works. I had a 180hp street car in the early 90's, and had one or two keep up with me.
