    Thunder Bay Ontario Canada

I am in Thunder Bay Ontario. The truck I am told will be loaded shortly on next RORO ship in Japan. So I am excited.

The truck will be used around town - I have rental properties so am always moving, washers, dryers etc. Hoping it will be fuel efficient and handy.

Shops in Vancouver area - mechanical

I am curious if any mechanical shops in Vancouver area that I could have vehicle looked at once I have. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Also, what is procedure in BC for trip permits? Does this province provide them as we do in Ontario and Manitoba. I am try to research this inter provincial inspection too but cant seem to find out anything about it here - the ministry office was no help at all.

If you are in B.C. check at your local ICBC office they should be able to fix you up with a trip permit.

Better get a new spare tire, looks like the patches are falling off that one. I like all the Japanese weiting on the sides.

Yes, new tires are in order for sure - hope to purchase in BC when I bring it back. The truck is being painted right now as we speak so the writing will be all gone once its here.

I am so excited :D - other than cant seem to find company in Ontario to insure the darn thing. :frustration:

:confused:Sounds like you want to ship it to BC,inspect it in BC,then drive to Ontario and reinspect

Ship to BC then bring to Ontario

Thanks Subaru - that is now the plan - will arrive into port some time in late October, I will drive out to BC (vacation) and do as you suggest (inspect in BC) and then trailer back to Ontario for another inspection/registration. I am so looking forward to the trip and the truck lol

Yes sorry misunderstood you - will not inspect in BC but do plan to have serviced there before I head home I am going to trailer it.

I do NOT suggest getting inspected in BC-no point:frustration:
If you are not getting BC insurance, why get the inspection, unless you have extra money burning a hole in your pocket,if thats the case, bring a big trailer and I will load you up with some Sambars:D
