After mulling over all the different mini trucks, I've kinda narrowed things down to what kind of mini truck I'd like to buy when I'm ready to purchase.
I think I've grown pretty fond of the Diahatsu Jumbo's. Hopefully I can find one like I want when I'm ready to buy. If not, I'd settle for a standard cab.

Here's my first question with a few more to come:
I'd like to run 24 or 25 inch tires. Those of you that are running 24 or 25 inch tires on the Diahatsu mini's............ is your truck still geared low enough to do low speed crawling?

Some of the terrain in my area will need a low gearing for crawling along.

    Thanks!

Bobby, from my expierience with hijet jumbos, you will be fine. Basically due to the fact that you have low range. the low range in these trucks is really low. I have 23 inch tires on one of mine, and 25 inch deeplug on the other. from what I see, the 25 inch tires hurt me more in the higher gears than the lower gears. which is normal imo. These deep lug ITP mudlite xtrs are actually about an inch taller than two other 25 ich tires that I have. although they do rob power, I really like the extra clearance I get with the taller tires. Basically I run up and down the road in high range, and when I get to the woods or field, mud, creeks etc. I just stick it in low and leave it. low range 1st gear is PLEANTY SLOW for crawlin. Now one point. With these tall *** 25 inch tires, 5th gear high range is pretty much useless unless your on a long highway stretch. But I seem to obtain the same ground speed in 3rd high that I used to achieve in 4th high with the factory height tires. If I remeber correctly I could run 67 mph from the factory tires. now with the 25 inch tires I run about 58 top end but its ussually in 4th gear. I will try to recheck this this week with my gps.
