Blew out a tire, replaced it with a spare the same dimensions. On my way to get new tires and wheels, there's a grinding noise coming from the rear axle. Thought it was something to do with the blow out/replacement, but it didn't happen immediately after seating the spare and driving home, and was only recent.

After I got the new tires and wheels on, it still grinds but only at low speed and low gear? It doesn't sound like a wheel bearing or the noise would be prevalent the entire time.

I would check to see if the noise happens when its on a lift turning the wheels by hand. If not, run it on the lift and see if you can hear it. Might be CV joints or something in a differential or a driveshaft issue. Hard to say.
