Newbie Sambar - Build

Hello all. New Sambar owner and awaiting its arrival from NJ to WI. Bad weather in NJ today stalled the pickup, but have been advised the shipper will pick up tomorrow or Thursday. Getting very anxious to see in person for the first time. Don’t typically like buying sight unseen, but had to act quick, so I told myself, and made the deal. Not sure about the wheel and tire combination currently on the truck being they are 13x7 with a 0 offset sitting on 205/60-13’s. Most likely try and sell these. Have the original (5) Steelies. Found some black Steelies in 13x5 with a 45mm offset that I may see what the 205/60’s look like.

Salt neutralizer bath and some work on the headlights and turn signals.

 

Wheels arrived today and tires should be arriving by the weekend.

 

Tires mounted up and installed this afternoon. I’m really liking the look.

 

A new steering wheel added to gain some leg room.

 

My son and I took her for a spin and then parked her for the week next to her new friend.

 

Looks good, curious though why didn't you like the 13x7, too small? Did they rub? Did those have spacers?

 

They actually stuck out of the wheel wells about 1 3/4”, which wasn’t a look I was going for. No spacers. No rub.
