    Dave,

I read this part of the description and it raises questions for me:

Multi-fit: fits both 4x114.3 mm and 4x100 mm wheel bolt patterns.
Direct fit: no wheel spacer/adaptor required.

When I was a young lad, I purchased "mags" for my car which were multi-bolt pattern. They never stayed balanced because the bolt holes were oblong and not round to accommodate the different bolt patterns and were held in place by the tightness of the nut. One 'bang' to the wheel knocked it out of balance because the wheel slipped within the oblong opening. The nut just couldn't be tightened enough to keep it from slipping. I hated them...

I have NO IDEA if this is how these wheels work, but I would personally be weary. My 2 cents.

Hopefully someone with actual experience with these wheels/tires will respond.

Thanks for the reply Mr. Chubbs!
You raise some good points. I emailed mini4x4 so we'll see what they say. So far the communication has been very good.
I do Carry (get it?) some heavy loads so I do want to make sure the wheels are absolutely safe. I also need some snow-rated tires for the winter and I'm thinking about getting 12" snows for the stock rims and just running 3 seasons on 13" rims. Just not a lot of selection out there!

So mini4x4 responded to let me know that the 13" wheels are lug-centric, with a 73.1mm bore and that the they have separate sets of bolt holes for both 4x100 and 4x114.3 patterns.
I think I'm going to go for their wheel/tire set and then get 12" snow tires for my stock rims.
I know Geolandars are good tires – very popular in the Vanagon world, but I think I'll look for some cheaper snows and run 13" wheels spring-fall since the truck is my DD.

Interesting... I just noticed that the wheels have 8 bolt holes to accommodate the different bolt patterns so you will fit either both pattern, which is clever, but you'll have 4 bolt holes that will always be open/empty.

Personally, I like the black rims, but I like the tires on the silver rims better. What a conundrum! Either way, I don't think you can go wrong.

Well, I pulled the trigger on the rims. Couldn't find anything in local scrap yards and wasn't too keen on modifying any of the old steelies around.
I also ordered some Kumho all weather 155/80R13 tires from tirewarehouse.ca. Might be tight but they should fit.
Will update when I'm all mounted up and driving!

All mounted up and really happy with the results.
Mini4x4.ca was really great in getting the order out fast before they closed for a holiday break, and even found a cheaper shipping option than originally quoted.
The ride is much nicer and I can cruise at lower rpms in 5ht gear.
There is a bit of rubbing at full rack when the suspension gets compressed but I can live with it.

No, both business are in Canada, as am I.
Shipping was quite reasonable and I get $100 rebate on the tires!
