I learned word of mouth is far better than any online review, im trying to find some mud or all terrain tires in 165 65 13 or 165 70. its almost like they dont make them, if anyone knows where to get them in the states please post up, thanks
Thunderers. I can personally get them but I am a tire tech. I can check tomorrow if I can dropship them to you.
Thanks, ive decided to go back to stock for now on the lift kit but the tires I have wont fit stock height without rubbing, all the 165 65 13s im finding other than rally/gravel seem to be street tires. im looking for some kind of dot m/t or a/t
Ok I was wrong I can get thunderer highway tires nothing mud or at that size. I can do some poking at work where I have more access to other vendors I only have 2 vendor apps on my phone.
I personally ordered the 23x8x12 itp crossfits for myself. Will be here tomorrow but im waiting for my new wheels that won't be here till Tuesday
I bought Forceum tires from Priority Tire for my Suzuki. I'm running 13" Geo Metro rims with a one inch spacer, no lift. The tires do fine, no rubbing. Forceum M/T 08 Plus LT 165/80R13 94/93Q Load D (8 Ply) MT Mud Terrain Tire (prioritytire.com) Kevin in NC
thats actually the very tire i have, I hate to mount them and find out they rub then I cant send them back, they are almost 24 inches tall.now i have it back to stock height i will hold them up to it and see.
I take it back, i was using a tire calculator, I just measured and there just below 23'' so i think i will try them.
This is how they look mounted. No lift on the truck. One inch spacer to move them out a bit. I'm driving the truck on trails in the woods and was worried the front might rub but so far I've had no problems.
I can't vouch for whether they'd fit your truck. My Suzuki came with 12" rims. Front tires were 21" tall, rear tires were 20" tall. I pulled the wheels off and laid a straight edge across the hubs and took some notes, made sketches and did the math. From what I came up with, I got the Geo rims and the Forceum tires. I still wasn't totally sure if they'd fit until I took the plunge and did it. Maybe just dumb luck but I'm happy with what I got. As I measure, these new tires are about 23" tall. The rear would have fit with these tires without the spacers, no problem. The front would have probably rubbed on the springs. I put 1" spacers front and rear to move the wheels outwards. Now the front tires are close to the fenders but as yet I've had no problems. I'm running this truck in 1st and 2nd gear on my own trails in the woods, mostly flat land with roots, ruts, stump holes, etc. for maybe a month or two now. On the graded dirt road out front I can run fast in 3rd and 4th gear. I'm happy with these tires. Let us know how things work out for you. Good luck, Kevin in NC
Banker, I'm in Wilmington but my truck lives and works up the road a bit in the woods of Pender County. Kevin
Just saw this thread. My van came with Suzuki 13 rims and I run 175/70x13 Westlake road tires and no issues with rubbing at all.
