Sorry if I'm beating a dead horse im a long time reader and ive searched but no luck, I have a 1994 Honda acty just got through installing a 2 inch lift kit with springs and camber plates, Ive adjusted the top hats so it will have more clearance before the hat hit its side of the truck with that being said I have the strut pushed over all the way against the truck and locked down and it looks like the camber is still off pretty bad, am I missing something ?, thanks for any input.
sorry guys for such a noon question, I just moved it around a bit and looking at it more I think it might just be the toe. Im getting rusty in my old age, its been a bit since I was swapping hondas left and right ( late 90s ) lol. but love this thing.
Sometimes a few good bounces can let things settle to thier finished position properly. In my Japanese s83p manual it goes over the alignment process. I can send you pictures of those pages if you think they can help you. They are different but it would still help lead you the right direction. But without a lift of course. Tow is /---\ with the top being the front of the vehicle. Camber is /---\ with the top being the top of the tire. Caster is / , | , \ 0 0 0 The lines being struts and 0 being wheels. the strut pushing the wheels forward or backwards.Just incase you forgot that too old man! Haha just joking don't hate me! Edit well it didn't keep the 0s in place but you get it im sure
Thanks, for the info here is a pic of how it sits now, before any toe adjustment and stock wheels tires still on.
First I must say love your choice of tools. I'm a milwaukee fanboy myself. I have full packout set, 3/8 impact, 1/2 inch impact, 1/2 inch drill, tire grinder, angle grinder and my big 1 inch impact for tractors, semi's and that 1 stubborn bolt. Thats your camber that is off. Adjust the top of the strut all the way inwards and move out from there. Adjust then tighten just snug then set the weight down on it and bounce it a few times. Keep doing this until you get where you need to be
thanks my dad got me my first one years and years ago, since I already had the battery it just grew from there, but they have never let me down I even have the weedeater lol. but about the truck thats the problem I have the bolt pushed over as far as it can go, the strut hat is touching the under side of the truck so it cant go any further. and thats with me turning the hat so it will clear the most.
hers a few more pics, according to the camber plate I could go almost another inch over but its hitting the under side as is.
Link to the lift you used? Then maybe I can see some pictures of how this one is set up. I have some suzuki lifts that are made with very slightly oblong bolt holes and the top is pushed to the sideby maybe an inch so it gets installed a specific way as apposed to being adjustable, and I have a lift coming in for my hijet thats adjustable. Put a square up to it and see how much you need and mabe slot the holes. I know of several vehicles that is the only way to adjust camber.
Here is the kit I bought,it seems with the stock strut hat running into the side of the truck that will be as far as I can go no matter what. https://www.goldstarparts.com/product-p/3b2inliftkit-hondasupermax.htm
Shave it. We had to do that on a 2014 buick struts we replaced.. just look and make sure it doesn't interfere with any kind of integrity to the part. it wouldn't fit anyother way. But at a 645$ kit I would contact the distributor first and see what they have to say.
The site looks low quality to start with. Part has 0 reviews. I would send it back and order from a reputable source if it doesn't seem right.
Grimports has the same lift give them a ring. They always help even if your not buying anything. Super cool people. Ask to speak to a mechanic tell him you have that lift and are having issues. They will help you i guarantee it. And to pay them back order your next parts from them.
