I have pretty much decided on one of the Honda Acty vans. I do not know the difference in SDX/Street/City. Do all the Street models have rear defroster and heat? I would like fuel injection so that means 1996-1997 models. I also need an automatic transmission and airconditioning. I think this means one of the chassis V-HH3 models? I see mention of auction grades 3.5 and R but I do not know what these mean. Can anyone please explain?

Has anyone imported directly, or do most people use some type of broker?

First I would check my states laws for kei trucks/vans not hearsay
Second you can import yourself but with a good broker it's stress free
Have not heard real good things with A/Ts
Best of luck to you, they are fun & can get costly

I did lots of research when I started to look for my acty. I'm not an expert but know a few general facts. Auctions grade vehicles from 1-5. 5 being an absolute new car and 1 being unsellable. R is a code for repair or replacement. This can sometimes mean it was repainted or it was salvaged and terrible. There are some people who try to be honest and show all defects wile others buy and cover up defects to flip cars. On the hole most Kei will be a 3-3.5 due to their high use even if it has little miles.
