This upcoming weekend has me thinking "what should I have in my truck for the just incase of things". I know I will bring:

    spare oil filter
    spare air filter
    tow rope
    clevises
    tool kit
gallon of oil (10w30 diesel oil isnt easy to find)
fix a flat? (I know the stuff is bad but better then nothing)
truck has spare under the back end and has a jack and tire wrench in cab.

some trucks it is hard to fit all that in there! Also been thinking about a removable tool box of some sort that I can bolt down but easily unbolt it to get the full use of the box back when needed.

glock is overkill but bailing and normal wire is good to... never know when you need to splice something..

also a knife/pliers combo or something would be good to.

  9. I got 2 toolboxes in the bed of my truck. Both from an Izusu truck and are lockable. held down by 4 nuts so they are removed in 5 mins with the right tool.
    1 holds.
    -Small folded Tarp
    -2 large rachet straps
    -2 small rachet straps
    -1 container of spare oil
    -1 wheel brace

    Other toolbox holds
    -1 socket set
    -1 screwdriver set
    -1 huge shifter
    -1 small shifter
    -1 jack + handle
    -1 small container of water
    -Assorted other small tools

Comes in handy as wherever i go i have my tools on me. Drag strip (where i volunteer), friends houses.
You can see one in the back here, the other sits in same place on the other side.

I think the Glock idea is a good one too. Only I prefer and carry a G27. I would rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it.;)
