Does anyone know the name of that bar that mounts to the engine that mounts to the frame?

I have seen this item on eBay referred to as a “Transmission Skid Plate.”

No. That's not it. It's horseshoe shaped ,and it's mounted to the engine mounts. Then that is bolted to the frame.

That's it. The first one. What do you call it?

The listing on eBay says Engine Mount. I think my Daihatsu book does also.

[IMG]interesting. Every time I put in engine mount it comes up with the rubber ones with bolts through them . Not what I'm looking for. Thanx for your time and knowledge.

Are you needing a replacement? The photo I posted is from an available item on EBay. I’ll message you the link.

I’d call it an engine cradle.

Hi, I looking for the rubber isolators for this part (daihatsu hijet engine mount - engine cradle). Anybody know of any alternatives?

Take your old ones out, and fill them with a pourable urethane. What is left of the old isolator material will keep it from being solid, and the bolt sleeve positioned.

If the old ones have failed completely, just buy a polyethylene cutting board drill it for the correct size bolt and use it to anchor the sleeve in place and vertical. Then position the outer shell with some clay, and pour the urethane.

There are a couple of good vids on YouTube. Just search for “urethane motor mounts”.
