Well, as you know, working on these things is addictive.

Looks very sharp. How is the sound reduction?

Sound reduction is very good. Once I get the door panels done it should be much like a car.

Got the bed cover done today. Going to spray bedliner on the aluminum square tube that I put across the back of the cab. Going to put snaps on the side of the cross brace that line up with the rear tailgate. That way it can be snapped to the end of the cover and rolled up in it. I have some Velcro straps to roll it up tight behind the cab.

The Olympics were boring. I went out and sprayed it.

I like the pinned center brace idea. Some engineering thought right there.

Ended up doing the springs but decided against the KYB struts. The difference between stock and KYB is more than just the brake hose mount on the back. The bolt holes don't line up with the knuckle. If you line up the top bolt and put it through, the bottom hole is off by half the width of the bolt. I enlarged the hole a bit, but an oversized hole getting close to the edge of the bracket didn't sound like a good idea.
The bottoming out and "bang" people describe is made worse by the fact that the bumper/bushing is missing. One of mine was nonexistent and the other one crumbled when I took out the strut.
The 265lb springs made a big difference. Picked up a little over an inch, and much firmer. I'm sure they will settle a little.
The truck now sits level, no rake.

Glad to hear the springs helped. I bought the ones off Summit Racing. Not doing the struts for now.

Hmmm, I wonder if those fit most of our trucks. Looks real similar to the ones in my van too.

That linky says not available but now looking at others on amazon. Great idea.

Not today, but the other week I had bedliner sprayed in by my local Line-X.
Initially I had planned to do it myself but I don't have an enclosed garage and I didn't want to wait until Spring. It was about $600 all in and I think they did a really good job...better than I would have done!

For the home-gamers, the rattle cans work great. Heads up though….you will spend $200 easy.

Really nice work on the interior. Have you found the sound-deadening to make a noticeable difference?

Yes, very much. Not quite car-like, but way better than stock.

I finally got Suzuki center caps for my 13" Suzuki wheels. Man the flash makes the wheels look rough but at least I got rid of the nissan center caps.
