I've pulled the wheels off my 84 Hijet so I could replace the tires. Sandblasted the rims and am preparing them for coating. The biggest issue is I have one rim that is bent to heck, and is not likely repairable. These are two piece rims and I am looking for a replacement, either original or aftermarket. Any leads would be welcome.

Looking at your photos, i think it could be annealed and then rolled back into shape. It would take an experienced shop with the right tooling though. I did a google search for “Wheel Repair Washington State”, it yielded about twenty results. With the exception of one in Spokane and one in Kennewick, they are all on the I5 corridor.

I’d try emailing your photo to them, and see what they say. Wouldn’t cost anything, and I doubt you’ll have much luck hunting for that old of a wheel for a rather esoteric vehicle, at least in America.

Just for info. A lot of older industrial equipment (forklifts, airport tugs, plant vehicles, turf vehicles, & ect) used to use that type split wheel. Might open some possibilities in your search depending on your area.

Are they 4X110 bolt pattern? And, where in Washington are you?

That can be bent out in a few mins to the point you would hardly, ever notice. This isn't a high end low profile alloy wheel.

I've bent worse back onto shape. Sometimes it amazes on how bad some guys can twist up the outside duals on their DRW trucks

War Wagon, finding wheels can be difficult for my 93 S93P but I'm not sure what your bolt pattern is on the 84. I also live in Washington and one of the best places I've found for wheels is my local Powersports shop. They can get wheels and tires that will fit your truck. Not as many options as a side by side but they will be able to find 4x110 12" wheels. Otherwise the parts section of the forum would be the next place I'd look or Facebook. There are a few mini truck pages that have parts people. I agree with Jigs though, it looks like a good wheel shop could repair it. Good luck!

does not even need to be a wheel shop... A wheel shop might not even bother with it. They normally do high end alloy's.

Take a big pipe wrench and bend it close enough that it can hold air again. Then mount a tire, and inflate it a little.. After that, you see how far you need to bend it back with a BFH... Farm wheels and dual rear truck wheels I do this to all the time.

Status update: I got the wheel back pretty close to good enough. Nothing a heating torch and a hammer couldn't fix. I even sandblasted and powdercoated them to cover up my sins. Even threw on some new tires. Thank you for all the replies! IMG_20220315_180211_864.jpg IMG_20220315_180033_905.jpg
