Hey everybody! Bought my 93 Joypop back in March of this year in Arizona. Now I am a full time rver trying to get the most out of it! Currently in Breckenridge CO and this thing is great in the snow!

Yes! Definitely worth every penny even if you don't run a system! When you slide/slam the doors its more of a sealed sound instead of hollow sounding. Quieted down the engine too. The weight is not noticeable at all
Did you mat over the existing sound dampening mat that is under the back carpet? Or did you remove the old matting first?
Stuck it right to the painted floor and engine cover. If you use this stuff you will want to use a roller. Definitely makes the van feel/ sound more like a "quality" vehicle.
Installed a Glowshift Tach Tonight! Was sick of spinning in the snow and not really hearing it over the music. Pretty straight forward install. Hooked up the dimmer as well, you can see in the 2nd pic. 3rd pic is where you want to hook up the green wire. Follow your spark plug wires to it. Really straight forward install and it works very well!
Nice! I would hate not seeing my RPMs. I'm guessing the JoyPops just did not come with one stock? (clearly as you didn't have one lol)
Yeah mine doesn't have one either. Think about putting one in but I want to make it look factory somehow.
You definitely can make it look more stock if you get a smaller one. It would be kinda crammed on the dash. I'm trying to make mine the furthest from stock lol
Slowly switching everything to led too. Interior is a huuuuge difference. Did the license plate, and got all 3 coming for the taillights.
I did leds for all the lights except the H4 headlights, don't use em much so didn't see a need plus if I did them I would d a daniel stern and make a relayed harness for em. I still need to get a digital flasher to fix the hyper flash.
I've driven non-turbo. It definitely makes a difference. I have found that some of the turbo parts differ from the na parts tho. I actually want to add a blowoff valve. I enjoy the surge noises, but I think a blowoff valve would be sweet lol. The little built in turbo gauge on the Every is funny lol. It's actually in the center dash in its own gauge with 4 bars lol.
Woosh! No turbo for me, like 4wd, a turbo is just extra maintenance. Don't get me wrong, I may bore out the CAT (if its still in there) and even be tempted to get a header/tuned exhaust and rejet the carb. That would probably get me close to what the turbo buys you in power but I also don't want to sacrifice drivability or noise either. So I'll wait on some of that until I get the basics down.
I drove a sambar truck and I was pleased with the power it had. Tho i did miss that turbo kicking in lol. You are right.... more maintenance. Something that will probably break on me eventually. If my engine ever goes, I don't know what I will do. I'm half tempted to build up a stock one. Maybe build it up some? I'm half tempted to mod the hell out of it and drop in a Hayabusa and keep it Suzuki. I'm half tempted to call in my hot rod buddies and go to town. There is a LOT of room in this thing. All of those options will cost money and the last options will likely kill me in the end lol. Right now less is more lol. To build one out I could very well import another lol. Anyone know a place that rebuilds these or sells new/rebuild ones? I swear I saw a truck site that had them but I can't remember the site. I'm thinking what Sammit did to his.... LOL I have no idea how much boost this thing makes stock... or how to tune it... or anything. I need to learn. Im going to stop posting junk in your thread now. Don't want to get your post off topic. These are to focus on your build.
Hey was looking into getting these same rims and was wondering whether there was any rubbing with the size and 38mm offset? Would this most probably fit on a stock minicab? Thanks very new at this and all the tire numbers are confusing!
No rubbing on my Joypop, the new tires actually make it so you can hoon in it pretty good lol. With almost double the width of stock, really likes cornering now.
