Here lately until my Carry warms up it runs very ruff and has little to no power and will barely get moving. As it starts to warms up it gets a little better and better until it finally feels like it has the power that it should (which is still not enough with the 25" tires). Its almost like it only running on one cylinder then two then finally all three. It reeks of raw gas when its running ruff. I don't really know were to start as I thought the spark plugs had recently been changed so Im not sure if its a coil pack, a sensor or if it could be an injector that is stuck open and pouring to much fuel when its cold. Any help is appreciated especially with he cooler weather now and it taking loner to warm. TIA

I have checked compression and all three cylinders are around 190#'s, checked spark and it will throw an arc about 3/4" to an 1" , checked the injectors pulses and all three injectors are getting a signal, and also made a piece of plate to hold the injectors to the fuel rail with out them mounted to the intake and spun it over and all three injectors seem to spraying good.

I was hoping there was some reply, I have a 93 carry that has a carb, but with this cold snap, when I’m in the beginning of a gear when taking off, or going into 2nd, I can have it to the Matt, but it’s like the squirrel s have to get running and it finally picks up the speed.., it was more peppy when it was warmer- hopefully we both can get a reply. Btw, where are you located? I’m in Northwestern Ohio

I am located about an hour south of Houston,Tx. I have called and talked to Big Joe at G and R imports and he has been very helpful but we still have not figured this out. The last thing he had me check was the fuel pressure and it is running about 42#’s. Know I just need to get back with him and see whats next. Woth that being said I order all my parts from them and there has never been any thing they have not been able to get me. He even told me to go to the local parts store and what vehicle to use to ask for different parts but I just assume spend my money with them when they are willing to spend the time on the phone to help me diagnose issues.

I bought my lift kit from them, then I viewed a YouTube video who did a walk thru of their boneyard, WOW, it is mini truck superstore! I’d love to just go there and spend the afternoon

Interesting. My 2001 Hijet is experiencing some similar problems although I don't feel that it's running rich at start...more like it's not getting enough fuel until it warms up. I will second the thumbs up for G&R though. I recently picked up some things from them and it was super fast and efficient service. Good luck with figuring things out.
